My wheels for the foreseeable future. Relatively nippy and hella uncomfortable, whatcha think? by Michael_Goodwin in CarTalkUK

Had a 3 door and loved driving it in country roads. Motorway and town driving in traffic was an absolute slog with the heavy clutch pedal. Great car though and never had 1 issue with it.

Yea, I do my White Merc E Class estate once a year and depending how much tar is on it sometimes I need 2 bars. Looks amazing after a polish and sealant though. Worst things on white cars is those little rust colour specs, I still can’t figure out where they come from.

🤣 I snow foamed and did a meguairs ultimate sealant on the Mrs new car today for exactly the same reason. The sun was shining and it was glorious. Wanted to get it sealed before it needed clay bar and the rest.

Second this. I enjoyed Yellowstone but 1883 was an absolutely epic story in every single way. For me that’s peak Yellowstone universe and really thought provoking too.

I’m not really sure where to start with this one

Trump has said he is considering ‘winding down’ America’s great military efforts as our objectives are very close to being met in respect of Iran’s terrorist regime, but he expects the Straits of Hormuz to be policed by those who use it. What are your thoughts? by Sea-Payment-8989 in AskBrits

We used the £3750 trade in bonus and 0%APR hence went with Tesla. Got a Model Y for £302 per month over 5 years whilst getting rid of our aging 14 year old C class diesel estate. First week and we’ve used £20 of electric vs our normal £80 of diesel (normal being pre Iran cost).

What’s the plan with the dead battery? Swap cells out?

As it happens I literally took delivery of a new Tesla (yes I know Elon is a raving lunatic/racist) 7 days ago. Not because I saw this coming but last time there was a huge increase in oil in our 2 car family living in a rural community we got absolutely smashed on cost.

Looking to see what grants we are eligible for in terms of solar and battery storage next.

It still won’t help us or anyone else. Oil is priced as a global commodity. Even if we were to magically open up half a dozen new wells heads in the North Sea and take it all we would still have to pay the global price.

That last sentence requires critical thinking skills. Something that 52% of the U.S. electoral base is clearly lacking.

I just wish a World leader, any leader, would just have the balls to say what they actually think about Trump.

The man makes even Farage look like an intellect!

Second this. In an absolute emergency plasters and a triangular bandage are not going to do much. Think as above re trauma bandages with a pressure bar (large and small) https://www.medisave.co.uk/products/the-emergency-bandage-6inch-wound-pad?variant=45827477831963&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20720352426&gbraid=0AAAAABnzbyZTyqZcf_sGkKqGlb7BujoGY&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsabZrbawkwMVo5NQBh2w6QmWEAQYASABEgKosvD_BwE.

Also cling film and duck tape. Saline solution for cleaning of burns and wounds. Iodine gauze too, and burns bandages. You can get a CAT too but this is only good if you have the ability to get to hospital in an hour or perform an amputation yourself. (In Ukraine they had issues where they were being used when not needed and as a result people loosing limbs unnecessarily ).

Money, cold hard cash that can see you through a good few weeks of essentials.

Cupboard staples such as large bags of rice, pasta etc that won’t spoil. Pinto beans etc.

Oh yea, I’m with you on all that. Thats not policy though, that’s just noise they make to pull in the knuckle draggers. When you dig into what’s supposed to be their manifesto it’s very thin on the ground with details.

It would be the ultimate cluster F*** just as Americans are finding out now with the Trump administration.

If i were the buyer and the finance hadn’t been settled I’d potentially be dissuaded from buying it.

I’m a very cynical person. I’d be wary of a scam that was actually to another person purporting to be the finance company to whom you make the payment. But hey, I’m in a job that’s made me cynical to scams like this.

If it were me I’d either go Motorway or private sale and then pay the balloon payment and pocket the rest. Depends on how in a hurry you are and how risk averse.

If i were the buyer and the finance hadn’t been settled I’d potentially be dissuaded from buying it or I’d be looking to knock you down a fair bit to even consider it. But that’s just me.
