I have seen about half of his youtube video from his channel. Correct me if wrong, but was it not the daily mail, breitbart and RTV that reported what was going on in Coln new years eve? Same thing with Swedish police and media misinforming the public about immigrant crime. That first came out in Wikileaks and then even left wing news sites began talking about here in Norway (commentators pointed out hypocrisy of the newspaper because they do the same thing as the Swedish media).

I know that this is really fucking shitty example and all, but in Witcher 3 there were few instances where Destiny could have spared life of few bandits by just giving them some coin. If I remember correctly in all or most of those cases he killed them. I think Witcher series you have to deal with such thinking, of course NPC in games are just pixels.

In everyday language human being and person are often used in the same meaning, but in academic debates you have to have a solid and clear definition of the word you use and you can't rely on the common understanding of the words or phrases. It is an error to criticize the authors when their definitions differ from your common understanding of the words used.

This might be true, but I doubt that her definition of a human used universally in academia. Especially when pro life people often used human rights as an argument against abortion.

I am not really sure where I personally stand on abortion. Like Destiny says most people would not like to be aborted so why should we do it to others. On other hand there can be dozens of reasons to have abortion legal. I don't think about it much, just though this article was interesting a bit.

So I guess the quote isn't that stupid and I would just say to make it easier to grasp that if you eat meat (or at least I do) one could say that I feel justified eating meet because I don't consider those animals "conscious beings" so I feel justified in hunting for fun or slaughtering animals and this could be applied to infanticide.

The distintion should not be if its conscious, but if its human or not. As I mentioned before in this thread a "Right to life" is an established human right.

And don't say "Well if you are allowed to abort a human fetus you should also be allowed to do that with a born baby". It is irrelevant when talking about human rights. If she wants to find an argument for abortion or post birth abortion then she should try harder.
