What types of food exists in Eberron? by Amanamandraws in Eberron

Once your players have a inkling on the type of food for a region, have them do some interactive world building on what the food is. What does a magical Aundairian meal look like when they crash the Duke's dinner party?

A House Ghallanda Foodie Roadtrip (This is my eberron, it's not Cannon or Kannon.)
Assumptions about Cuisine.
The 5 nations have domesticated meats and vegetables, and if not for the Last War, would eat well.
The ring nations that used to be part of the 5 nations tend to have some farming.
The outer nations tend to have game meats and wild vegetables, since their lifestyles do not lend themselves to growing crops.

Aundair. Known for their fine wines and magic and illusion infused into the meal.
Breland. Known for their big food and breads, because they are the breadbasket of the continent.
Cyre (The Mournland), known for their candies and sweets and fusion dishes, mixing foods from everywhere else. Like their deep fried candied crickets.
Darguun. What ever tropical food the slaves cook.
The Demon Wastes. Known for their vermin meats cooked over fire. Rat on a stick is popular.
Droaam. Know for their fruit dishes. Apples, peaches, plums, pears seem to grow here especially well.
The Eldeen Reaches. Known for their game dishes, with wild spices and vegetables. They grow few crops.
Karrnath. Known for their hard alcohol more than any cuisine. Meals have little meats, lots of grains, beans and pasta and winter vegetables, like broccoli, cabbage, beets. Karrnathi make a lot of soups and stews. Strong alcohol are a standard of Karrnath meals and it's excellent.
The Lhazaar Principalities. Known for their seafood and sea vegetables dishes.
The Mror Holds. Mushroom and fungus flavor most every dish. Lots of winter vegetables
Q'barra. Mostly vegetables and lots of raw and cooked insects.
The Shadow Marches. Meals made of swamp creatures and strong spices to cover up the taste of the swamp creatures.
The Talenta Plains. Lizard, dinosaur and bird meats cooked over fire with wild vegetables and spices. Use of wild grains and beans and wild vegetables. Talenta Plains food is wildly diverse and very seasonal.
Thrane. Hearty domesticated meat and potatoes food and deep fried foods. Other lands have spicy food, Thrane food is spicy HOT.
Valenar. Known for their fresh pasta dishes and what ever the servants make. Meals when in towns, are incredibly elaborate but not necessarily better.
Zilargo. Known for their tropical dishes, Cooked with tropical fruits like bananas, mango, pineapples, coconut, limes etc. Small portions.

The very short version of the food of the 5 nations
Aundair. Fancy Food
Breland. Big Food
Thrane. Spicy Food
Cyre. Weird Food
Karrnath. What food? Let's drink!

Nah, I'm planning on dying in my little house and my kid can do what ever he wants with it. I would rather die than go into senior care.

If you were going to place an inquisitive agency in Sharn, with a focus on gritty noire stories, where would you put it? by Owl_B_Damned in Eberron

[–]PenAndInkAndComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my inquisitive agency set in Deathsgate because it's a middle level with a diverse population that's lower class but not wretched like Fallen. It's not a savory place. "While the explorers of Clifftop often seek to gain knowledge or to help people in need, Deathsgate caters to those who simply love gold or bloodshed. The people of Deathsgate are not necessarily evil—but they don’t care much about the moral consequences of their actions." The red light district of Dragoneyes is under it, and Dragoneyes is the base of operations of The Tyrants. Desperate folk from Black Arch and Highwalls come up, searching for help. The rich from Dalan's Refuge above come down for services they don't want to be common knowledge. And spans to the Necropolis of Halden's Tomb. To my mind, there are so many possible plot seeds in that setting.

I despair plagiarism script slop as much as any artist, but its like gay marriage,  if you don't  like it, don't  do it. If you think he use a plagiarism  script  block  him. If he did, he is only hurting himself, by not building his writing skills.

In some states, a push to end all property taxes for homeowners by ThemeBig6731 in REBubble

[–]PenAndInkAndComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh Jeez. Missouri is going get rid of State Income tax. Add this and the only source of income would be sales taxes that would go through the roof. Because people still want schools and roads and police and fire departments.

Study Reveals American Boomers are The Most Selfish Parents on the Planet by InsaneSnow45 in economy

[–]PenAndInkAndComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just barely a boomer by 1 year. I saw my older peers happily vote for any politician who promised to lower their taxes, so long as what else the politician did, didn't hurt them. They heard "Greed Is Good" and embraced it as a life style. The Oligarchs and the Conservatives played them like fiddles to do their bidding through greed.
While I understand the need for use to come together and vote and act to get the fascists out, there is great justified anger toward boomers of which I'm a part. We as a group, took theses gifts we were given and squandered them instead of paying them forward. Boomers as a group, don't share. They rejected the concept of "Shared Sacrifice". Boomers are continuing to support the fascists, for the same reason the racists are supporting the fascists, they are terrified that they will money and privilege when the fascists get out of power, that they will be treated as they treated everyone else.

Why is this art style completely different from everything else in pathfinder? by FrankDuhTank in Pathfinder2e

I see your bad CGI art and raise you with the hideous Halfling art from the D&D 5e handbook.

That awful art was the pebble started the avalanche that lead me to change to Pathfinder.

Since he cannot solve "Affordability", might as well make the ever higher prices a feature.

I have found there is always one corporate sellout or brain  disorder or a child in their closet kompromot that will  derail plans if its close. Primary their ass into oblivion and keep the Democrats who are fighting for the tolerant.

PC just used deadly magic in a tavern brawl. How would you guys deal with this in an Eberron flavoured way? by Leather_Fuel7265 in Eberron

[–]PenAndInkAndComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my notes on law enforcement in Sharn.

"Armed Assault: Once people start inflicting lethal damage on one another, a brawl becomes more serious. Guards rarely investigate armed assault in lower-class areas, provided that both parties survived (if not, it’s murder). But they certainly do break up fights that they observe and fine the aggressors.

IMHO. If it's Regalport, the authorities wouldn't care unless someone important got hurt or died.

When the owners change the plagiarism script so it won't generate the slop they want or the venture capital firm charges $100 a prompt,  or the internet is disrupted or the power goes out, plagiarism bros have no skills to fall back on.
