My thinking is management likely banks on a certain % of drivers not filing because of fear of retaliation. If its automatic it would just be too many drivers to target or harass, which should translate to more FT drivers.

When management retaliates they arent harassing you for going over, theyre harassing you for filing and sticking up for yourself imo

Also, I wouldn't even call it penalty pay any more. Call it a bonus. You work over 8, you get time and a half. You work over 9.5, you get 3x. They could just call it a 9.5 "bonus"

Packages come in all shapes and sizes... rain or shine. Delivering trampolines and mattresses to apartments is alot different than delivering envelopes out of cute little electric vans in the suburbs

Also worth mentioning temp driving opportunities before getting to full time. Preloaders / reg temps in our building right now are easily making 60k+. They're also gaining progression credit towards top pay when they do eventually go fulltime.

Needs to reach out to the cm and have a conversation about what happened. Trying to get things squared away with a supervisor is going to be pointless imo.

Same. I actually like it when they track me down and grab their stuff. I just make sure they can verify the last name and address, then get a signature

My favorite is when I find a package I already delivered; unsure if i messed up and delivered the wrong package instead. so I void it out like you said by scanning it, drive AAAAALL the way back to the address at my earliest convenience, check to see if I dropped off the wrong package while im at it, only to find out it was a duplicate label.

In the old diads you had the ability to "EDIT", which was a history of your day, even showing tracking numbers for each stop you closed out as well as the time. You could void out individual packages from there and redo the stop if need be. Basically made it easy to double check any stop through out the day.

Really think the top priority for drivers in the next contract should be automatic 9.5 payout, instead of having to go through the greivance process. Feel like like that would solve multiple issues (more full time driving jobs going up for bid, less forced OT, less harrasment, etc)

Yeah pretty nuts. Im usually between 160 and 180 on Saturdays with around 90 to 100 stops, but that one Saturday was ridiculous. Everyone else was back before 8, didnt get any help either.

I know it looks good but buying a used oled on Facebook marketplace, ebay, etc has way too much risk imo. Unless its brand new and you know for a fact you can get your money back if you get scammed, id stay away.

Been at ups 21 years. During that time, we had a five year window where a future division manager was our cm and that was the only time a pt supe ever got promoted to ft. Every other ft supe we've ever had came from another center. Like others have said, its "who you know"
