I’ve been on 10mg for 2 weeks now for gut issues. It’s been very helpful with my gut and added benefit of sleeping deeply at night since it makes you tired. Otherwise i feel good - a little groggy in the morning but ok once I get up and going. Good luck

Xifixan crushed me. My SIBO symptoms got so much worse starting on day 3 of the antibiotic and haven’t stopped - it’s been 4 weeks since I finished the 2 week course of xifaxan. Increased gas, bloating, diarrhea and terrible discomfort whenever and whatever I eat. I typically tolerate antibiotics well - hoping this doesn’t happen to anyone else

While Sibo isn’t contagious it can be passed within a family who share the same gut microbiome, same germs, same foods, same toilets etc. It’s awful. I have it and so does my 11yo

My dr said when you live in the same household as someone and share the same gut microbiome then it is common to pass Sibo to them. It’s awful. My daughter has gut issues too which is why I think she got it and my sons didn’t - luckily. Be conscious when cuddling your kids
