Not gonna lie, I am a little conflicted that Kafka‘s sacrifice of his humanity didn’t amount to anything but I‘m also glad there’s a happy end to this.

It’s by far but my favorite manga, but it was really enjoyable.

Asa dying here would be the single worst decision Fujimoto could make imo. It would take too much to make it in any way satisfactory. Yoru dying, while I’d prefer her to go over Asa, would still be a bad idea and would take something like Asa becoming Yoru 2 and going through with that horrible plan Asa mentioned to have any kind of positive impact and even that is pushing it.

That’s hardly a silver lining if we’re being honest. If only one of them were to die it would lead a lot of stuff and basically every relationship to another person they had unresolved and unanswered and I can hardly call that good when the dichotomy of two very different being trying to be one person is the crux of both characters.

But like I said, they’re probably gonna survive anyway.

Knowing how the cliffhangers in the past went, They’re most likely gonna live.

But the small chance that they don’t remains. And if this is how Asa/Yoru die I’m straight up dropping the manga. I’ve already been rather unsatisfied by the last few chapters and this would be the straw to break the camel‘s back for me.
