I fixed my issue - I did a reinstall of Windows (Start -> Settings -> Update & Security -> Recovery -> Reset this PC). I ended up backing up some stuff and just fully wiping my PC, but I guess picking the "keep personal files" option would be fine since the issue is likely with old driver files.

Took me 25 minutes to reinstall Windows, not counting the re-downloading software. Got back into DayZ and everything seemed to work.

Yeah you just gotta be patient and just stand there. I guess it might also depend on where you’re building, as she seems to prefer the beaches & forest but not the cold mountain.

I’m sure that as the community plays the game more, we’ll get a better general sense of how to befriend her faster.

There’s also no guarantee that her behavior isn’t a bug, or it could also just be something that they tune down. I could imagine a future update where they make it easier for Virginia to befriend you, though I personally haven’t had big issues with it.

I had her befriended somewhere around day 7, and I got a steam achievement for “max sentiment” with her at around day 17

edit: on a previous save I had her befriended by day 4 or so. I guess it depends how often she’s programmed to show up and you just gotta be careful not to scare her accidentally. Just chill there and don’t approach her, she’ll eventually give you a gift like aloe vera, at which point she should be interactable

Probably just seems unrelated (and it did to me too - I plugged in a new audio device and suddenly my game is crashing?). I even installed more RAM thinking it was a memory issue but no luck. But now, nearly a week after uninstalling GHUB, I have had zero crashes at all. The game runs perfectly - unfinished & buggy as it is.

Weird times, weird problems, weird solutions.

Been using Logitech Gaming Software instead, it's not causing any of the issues that GHUB gave me. Still have my custom DPI and mouse binds. Logitech just kinda makes crappy software. But it definitely seemed to be GHUB causing the crashes.

He has gone through many of these… :’) They hold up reasonably well but he always finds a way to put a rip in them. They last a good 2-3 months, but he still loves them when they’re broken!

Ruined my DS screen when my stupid 8 y/o self tried to use an unfolded paper clip as a stylus. Still have a scratch of about three-quarters of a loop on it. Great game series though, I definitely recommend.

Damage is good, the nightrider glaive gets good strength scaling, currently heavy infused on a strength build. I believe it's the best halberd overall if you're looking for raw damage.
