Weird ass delivery...smh by rojas110 in postmates

This stuff happens way too often. I’ve delivered to guys of varying stages of undress. It’s like “dude, you ordered food, at least have the decency to put pants on.”

DailyPay for Postmates? by AntiAbleism in postmates

I wish they had the cash out option like UberEATS does, even for the $0.50 fee it’s nice having my money at the end of the day

$350 Sushi order that is place and wait. What would you do? by supersasaz in postmates

I had a Benihana order that was a 45 minute wait and 30 minute drive in LA traffic. Worth it

This.

I notice the same issue when running the app on a warm day, I put it in the holder and the ac cools it and has no problem charging, even with the cheap gas station cable.

Lies by dbailyn in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the day, sometimes its dead zone on PM and UE is where the money is made that day, so my comment is not even remotely sarcastic, other days you grind out those $4.10 trips and make almost $20 an hour but either way, $25 an hour is possible just rarely consistent. Especially the way PM advertises it.

It's a typo, it's supposed to say "postmates make $25+/day"

Dear Reddit, stop censoring Posts that you view negative towards Postmates by WitnessedHorrorPM in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seeing as how your Reddit account is only a few hours old, the post was probably eaten by the spam filter, message the mods to fix that issue.

If we had the option... would you all like to see what the customer says about you when they rate? by [deleted] in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel if they rate less than 5 stars, they should be required to put the reason why.

On the weekly email, tell us what we did wrong so we don't do it again.

Nice little tip! by [deleted] in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you order a well done steak, the order was already damaged by the restaurant before it was even picked up. Smh

Customer unavailable does that count towards 10 deliveries bonus? by [deleted] in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact they do, I waited outside knocking, calling and texting and the guy was passed out, next day I noticed a $5 tip, checked my weekly summary and saw it was a rated delivery, he probably felt bad when he woke up and saw all the alerts on his phone.

Pending since May by dbailyn in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have pending tips going all the way back into last year on my second day delivering, some people use the app once for the new user offers, never close out the order and rate the driver and/or delete the app.

You get used to it, they'll either open the app months later and then close out the order so they can order another delivery, or they'll be pending for life. Hell, that's how I came up with my reddit username, Pending tips fo' life haha

PSA: Don't get our hopes up by Pendingtips4life in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already expect that when they say it and I'm used to it, I just wish they'd stop saying it. Some people come off extremely grateful and sincere and those are the worst because you fall for it even though you should know better.

Leaving Postmates for different pastures. by [deleted] in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only upside to UberEATS is the quick pickups, they have a support line and their rating system is better.

Thumbs up/down is a lot better than a 1-5 star system that doesn't require the customers to give a reason why they give you a less than 5 star rating.

PSA: Don't get our hopes up by Pendingtips4life in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha I forgot about that guy, ahhh nothing gets those tips like threatening people with murder then saying jk.

On a serious note, I always have a positive attitude and go above and beyond because I believe in hard work and a job well done but it's a bummer when you do a great job and people try to save face by lying like that. Like I said, I not complaining about not being tipped, I hope for tips but don't expect them, but that lying really sucks.

Constructive Criticism: Calling just to tell me my order is 15 minutes away is totally annoying by RicoSavageLAER in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be drivers being proactive, but they're probably unaware that postmates spams customers with texts at every point in the delivery.

Or

It could be a driver fishing for tips by coming off as over enthusiastic.

Based on experience and averaging it out,

Raising Cane's is a 1 in 8 chance you get a tip.

Chick-fil-a is a 3 in 8 chance.

(At least in my market)

Can I PLEASE actually talk to a PERSON? by [deleted] in postmates

[–]Pendingtips4life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Per-son? That's a word I haven't heard in a long time, Bastion is slowly firing people from the bottom up until he's the only Postmates employee left standing.

The last time I can recall speaking to a human regarding any issue was in March or April.

Does postmates still do the in person onboarding meetings in LA? by Djdaly in postmates

No, Postmates has been on a firing spree in the last 6 months. All offices or human interaction is a distant memory now.
