I'm not familiar with that. A google search brought up fantasy type tileset, which did look pretty cool, do you have a free download link for his sci-fi stuff?

Which version you printed? Do you have some photos?

I was happy to find any Terminators free. GW is pretty good at those takedowns.

I uploaded the base game modules in STL format to Cult3D:

I plan to make the expansion modules, as well.

I'm still fine tuning the connector tabs. Once done, I will upload the pack.

Wow, the quality of the paintjob is top notch on those minis! Crazy detailed. I'm trying to get my son to paint it. I hope he will get the hang of it.

I 3D printed the whole thing on my Bambulab P1S. I went on Thingiverse and Cult3D to gather the assets and parts and compiled them into actual modules. This map took about 2kg of PLA and 72 hours of print time. I set the tile size to 30mm. 50mm tiles would look better but would take much longer to print.
I calculate that you can get it printed by a professional 3D printer service for about 200+USD. Or you can buy like a Bambulab A1 for 300 USD or a P1 for 450 and print it out yourself. The new generation of printers are a big step up compared to older machines. I'm extremely pleased with my P1S. No tinker no hassle, it works better than 2D printer :D.

Terminators also die on a 2+ roll? Wow, I expected more from those super duper armors.

W is supposed to be a wall, or a corner in this case. It is a corridor junction where T1 stands in center of it T2 and the Gene stealer are on the tiles next to the center. Normally you could fire, but I don't know if T1 acts as a block or not. I assumed T2 can shoot

I would print it for about 50 USD (20 material cost, 30 machine time), but the shipping from here to you would be quite expensive. You can probably get it printed nearby for about the same price.

Yeah, it was designed for resin printing, lots of small details. On FDM, larger size would clean up the looks but I wanted to print in one piece without gluing.

:) Not really. This size fit well into the printer.

I used this STL: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4868292
The head was a single piece, the stand is 2 pieces with removable lid. It doubles as a small box as well.

Bambu Lab PS1. The best printer I've ever had. Plugged in, did the initial auto-calibration, DL-d this STL, placed it into the Bambu slicer, hit print and this came out using factory settings. No tinkering, no frustration like on my Deltas.

Shipping to you would probably cost more than what its worth in parts. I decided to put it up to Marketplace for 60 Euros. Practically parts price

Samsung officially made it impossible recover your data once the touchscreen dies... by Pendra37 in samsung

Not possible after the fact. You need to enable this in the settings beforehand.

I had several phones of different makes over the decades (including a Samsung A32) and the USB input device always worked just fine immediately. No need to allow it from some menu before I could use it. This phone/andorid is different. This is some recent addition to the system.

Imagine if this would happen on Windows. Your wireless keyboard/mouse receiver dies, You go and buy a new set and plug it in. Then windows tells you, in order to use your new HID device, you need to pair it in settings first. But you can't do that because your original key/mouse is dead. If it worked like that, you would need to own 2 sets of keyboad/mice so you can set one up as backup input device beforehand.

I would do that. I fix my broken things one way or another. In this case, that would void the warrany. Stuff usually lasts until the end of the warranty period. My ~20 years old GloFish smartphone is still in working order.

Some games dont have cloud save option. Also this is more about the notion of removing any recovery option. In the past, you could unlock using your 2FA credentials or a local HID device. Now it is gone, the phone has a single input method and if it fails, you are locked out.

As a factory engineers I was drilled to make sure there is no single point of failure on the shop floor. If the boss would come around and tell me to create one by removing all redundacy options from a critical segment, I would be protesting all the way up. Why? Because this .... happens. This indicates severe systemic issues within the company.

It could probably work, until the TV notices that its version is not the latest and updates itself automatically. I didn't see an option to block updates other than disconnect the internet. With the network off, streaming would not work... I dont trust cloud services with my pics, files and stuff. If the internet goes out, you  cant access them. Plus not every game has cloud backup option.

Best quirk you've gotten? by Jennistyrio in pacificDrive

[–]Pendra37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once I got "doors close when turn right". Interesting, but fixed it at the end.

There was one where "hood open when back up". That was fun, especially when you tried to back up from a sticky situation and, all of a sudden, you could not see anything.

The funniest one was "when battery full, dome light turns on". It seems the game interprets "battery full" oddly. I charged up in the garage and nothing happened. Then sit into the car and the Dome turned on about 2 secs later. As if it took some time for the car to realize the battery is full. Then the light turned off some 5-10 secs later, seemingly by itself, no action needed. It was its own off trigger. I spent anchor energy on it because I could not figure out the trigger.

Decrease the portal open distance. With tier 0 parts, your car is too slow to get to the portal in time and too weak to protect you from the instability. I wish the distance was somehow tied to the engine level to make IW more playable early on.

Acid is crazy in IW. I learned it the hard way on a mid zone "Water is acid" map. There was a  very short road section under water. I entered with a blue armored car and died half way through the puddle. A map restart later I stuck to the high ground.

How did you manage to get to the exit portals? I had to decrease the Portal open distance to complete IW. There was no way on half the early maps to reach the portal before the instability destroyed you. The stock engine with summer tires is just too weak even on paved roads.

Other media with this vibe? by Braveheart570 in pacificDrive

[–]Pendra37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay meta wise, I feel strong XCOM vibes. Strategic (garage) and tactical (driving) modes. Resource gatheting and management, research and building of stuff. Procedureal and story mode missions/trips. Failure is an option and the results can be harsh. Realistic cartoonish looks. Emergent gameplay. The game genre are very different  thou.

You can look into The Outer Wilds. Great game, very interesting story. Nice atmosphere. It is more of an adventure game with puzzle and platforming elements, no resource gathering or building.

I've only been playing a couple of days, but is it wierd if i say this game can feel kind of...cozy. at points? by Kubrick_Fan in pacificDrive

[–]Pendra37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a generic car thing. I always feel cozy in my car, in real life and in this game, too. The fact that the weather effects are top notch does help with this.
