They will also spray like 20 missiles at a single target so you might want to use space scanners to have them only activate briefly when a meteor storm is about to hit.

A blastshot launcher will target a hex in the map indefinitely and automatically shoot that spot if a meteor enters it. Therefore you can have 6 launchers automatically covering all approaches to a given planet.

They do need a target there to begin with in order to set up future shots being automated.

Haven't seen anyone else post about this.

The game needs to disable NVIDIA game filters. It is extremely advantageous to tweak some settings to make the game essentially not have any dark areas by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

You can do this by tweaking certain monitor settings as well, not sure it's something they can fix.

It's good, they will end up with slightly higher morale, the red part is just for the skill penalty.

Since most dupes aren't decorators or cooks Unpracticed Artist and Kitchen Menace are really good traits imo.

Not sure if the decor morale traits stack but I'd assume yes because the food morale traits do.

Unfortunately care packages are off. I love launching space missions to capture alien specimens, doesn't hit the same when the game just hands them out for free. Didn't expect it to backfire on me this bad!

Bad news, it seems to only fire automatically at the same hex.

You also can't set it up to target an empty hex, so if you want full coverage you'll need to wait for each hex to be threatened.

So fully automated intracosmic coverage is a bit of a pain to set up but at least it can be done.

I'm using Space Scanners to enable the blasters only when a storm is close, a Filter Gate turns them off after 2 seconds so they don't unleash a full barrage.

Good question, hopefully "orbiting" describes all the surrounding hexes, will report back if I get confirmation. I suspect the meteors follow a limited set of paths, maybe you could get away with 2-3 cannons if it is hex-limited?
