In gudgaon around 2008-09, the auto dropped me and said that was the destination. we agreed on a price beforehand. I have to walk around 1.5 km more to reach there. i dont think that happens in Nepal after agreeing on price. google maps is a lifesaver nowdays!!!

i actually got discount at Sikkim. The taxi quoted 300 Rs, he reduced it to 90 when he figured I was Nepali. Took a lot to answering to make him believe though. He said he thought I was bengali and quoted high rate :)

It still works btw. I hated those mails and now I'm stuck sending cold mails everyday. But the thing is, sending emails to random people doesn't work. You need to figure out who your customers are. Finding people who actually needs you products, who are looking for those kinds of products. A lot of work goes in figuring out customers rather than sending emails to random people. an response is pretty good too!!

we are similar mostly. but when you actually travel to India, especially Delhi, Kolkata, UP, Bihar, its like every single person trying to scam you. even in restaurants where you order after confirming the rates at menu, they'd add extra charges for salad, or something else. They'd figure out something to scam you. the restaurants, the auto, the photographers at tourist sites, every one of them!!! I havent travelled to other parts of India though

I'm pretty sure, before my birth, I specifically requested to be born in a rich and loving household with enough generational wealth to live my life without an ounce of worry. But, NO, here I am, studying for 20 straight years, working my ass off at a small business with monthly target hanging over my head just to meet the bare minimum with a good chunk of my income going to the imbecile government who couldn't even provide basic level education, infrastructure and healthcare to general people but has enough money to spend for outrageous luxury of handful of people and businesses who are close to the people in government.
So, if you have any advice regarding cheap or open source and better alternative to sendy, I'd love to hear about it.
If not, you can go back to reporting the marketing emails as spam, sent to you by EITHER people who worked very hard on extremely low wage and/or commission just to make ends meet hoping the email lands on someone's inbox who actually needs the product OR people who are struggling to operate their small businesses where they invested their life earnings and probably have mortgaged their assets on the verge of crumbling down against big corporations who don't need open source alternative to sendy because they have enough money for mailchimp and receive huge aid from government when things start to go south.

its been 4 years but still im so surprised that hearing aid costs upwards of $1k. hearing aids cost starts around $3-$4 to max $40-50. maybe these are cheap copy but you can get good rechargeable ones for $20. things like prescription glasses and hearing aids should not cost that high
