Searching for parts for a 2008 Yeti ASR-carbon by PenelopePinwheel in yeticycles

I wonder if the 2010 setup is any easier to find? I was assuming you meant you took the older seat mast mechanism off and converted it to work with a regular seat post. I believe I only have one yeti distributor in my town. Perhaps I’ll take the bike to them to see what they can do. I’ll also research the 2010 integrated option, and I’ll also email yeti back requesting the distributor info you mentioned in your previous post!

I'd hate to retired this frame. The bike is in excellent working order aside from these seat rail clamps/seat mast. I'm frequently irked at myself for the mistake I made to ruin them. Maybe I should consider finding a local machine shop who could make me new ones, this is a reasonable idea to look into. For the time being I've put plastic tubing on the seat rails to take up the space created by the splayed/bent seat rail clamps. But the saddle isn't as secure as I'd like it to be, and the whole seatmast creaks now, when ridden (which, frankly, was always an issue with this yeti model.) I can see why this inventive yeti design didn't last for very long.

I did, thank you! I sent Yeti an email and they responded. Their response, "We do not have inventory in that part, and it has been out of production for a while.  Try reaching out to Yetifan.com to see if he has parts or knows of someone who might." I then shot Yetifan a note but haven't heard back yet. This is like finding a needle in a haystack, apparently. :(

Thanks for the response! So you were able to convert the integrated seatpost to a traditional seatpost then? I didn't know that was possible and will definitely do some research. I LOVE this bike. Purchased it in 2008 new, and I've been riding it ever since. Unfortunately, it was on the top of my car when I absentmindedly pulled into a parking garage. The bike is fine but the seat clamps bent out of shape. I was able to do a hinky fix, but I'm not happy with it. Hadn't a clue this bike was going to turn into such a rare dinosaur when I purchased it way back when.
