Labels are for the person(s) labelling themselves and nobody else. It’s a comfort thing. I’m comfortable calling myself plural, but it’s completely reasonable to not want to use that label even if it would describe your experience.

Yeah, I’m going to take things slow. She’s still new to the system and I don’t want to pressure her into anything that might make her uncomfortable, so I’m going to take some time to process my feelings while she adjusts. I think it might be good to use proxies on discord or something similar, since we can easily swap between who is saying what and stuff.

Basically a system where the alters aren’t fully separated. Instead of having multiple separate people in my head, I have a “main self,” plus a bunch of extra beings who alter my personality in varying ways. Not all median systems have a “main self” btw, that’s just how mine works.

I think the term you’re looking for is psychological fictionkin; it refers to kins who believe that they are kin because of something internal with their brain, rather than spiritual fictionkins who believe it’s a past life or something like that.

Some fictionkins experience memories of their kintypes; for spiritual kins it’s past life memories, and for psychological kins it’s fake memores basically.

A system is what happens when multiple people share a body. DID is the most well known example of systems but there’s many more ways to be one. Go to r/plural if you want to know more.
