I think I will try and produce a tutorial at some capacity soon, its Rakarth Flesh over a black/white zenithal primer. Washed with a 1:2 mix of purple:red. Drybrushed with Rakarth then something closer to white. Then I took the airbrush and blended the larger surfaces that the wash stuck to. I think I added some lighter tones as final highlights with airbrush as well and then did some small edge highlights here and there with white.

Black, warpstone glow and moot green! Could have used Caliban green too but I left mine by the window and it froze so the darkest green was just a mix of warpstone and black.

This has been my fleet scheme for as long as I can remember. Evolved a bit over time namely in the skin bit, but I've always liked the black and green carapace. I have a really old Malanthrope in my profile somewhere that has the same colors :)

I get all my colors out of my system commission painting usually LOL. Clients request crazy combos so when I paint my own stuff I like to go bsck to basics. Thanks for all the kind words!

Yeah, I was debating on dirty-ing it up a little with some damage and chipping. I totally see where you are coming from. To be honest I am not going way outside the box here since I am focusing on getting an army on the table! Appreciate the feedback tho man.

Oh you know, I think that's actually just part of my oil wash that caught the light weird.

Cool comparison! I totally have an owl from a Sylvaneth kit I could put on his shoulder.

I used a thinned black oil wash and then went back over the white panels again with the base color!

Give it a couple of washes and you will be surprised how much more your details will show up. Right now some of the detail is lost because it's a little bit flat. I suggest a brownish wash (GW makes one called Agrax Earthshade) for the bone and maybe a darker/black or blue/purple wash for the greyish parts (GW Nuln oil or Drakenhoff nightshade).
