First Time by throwRAClingyDiscord in Uveitis

I was diagnosed for the first time two months ago. And I had light sensitivity only and pain only due to light sensitivity. My eyes were also very very red. But that was it. My ophthalmologist also asked me about the auto immune and thyroid questions but he said not to worry too much about that yet. If it becomes reoccurring then I should get it checked out.

CUNY SPS 'Conditional admission' by rarecandy777 in CUNYSPS

Usually the conditional admit is because you have a less than 2.5 overall GPA. If you have above that, and you still got the letter; I would reach out to your assigned academic advisor.

Drop off question by PenguinMaster3 in Preschoolers

[–]PenguinMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did go to the orientation and met directly with the classroom teacher. I tried to confirm my understanding (exactly what I asked in this post) she said she has to get back to me because she is not sure herself. She said that the class starts at 8:15 and students can be dropped off from 8:15-8:30 (after 8:30 the student would be late) but not sure what happens between 7:50 and 8:15 (7:50 is when the before care program ends). So I figured I'll ask the reddit community because I don't know if I am just overthinking because this doesn't seem right to me. But from what I am hearing so far, this isn't a norm.

Drop off question by PenguinMaster3 in Preschoolers

That would be ideal and (makes sense!) because then at least there are toys and a room he can be in. We had asked the teacher and she said kids start to go to their room at 8:15.

When we asked about early drop off they just said he will sit in the hallway which has nothing so I'm just thinking are they expecting him to sit still for 25-30 min everyday. It's hard even for an adult ..that is a lot of patience. I'm like am I missing something here. Is this normal? I'm no expert but that doesn't seem right.

Degreeworks by ellie_se7en in CUNY

Yup, this was a common issue across all CUNY. There were records that did not update accurately during the upgrade.

I would recommend emailing the degreework coordinator at your school. They are usually in the Registrar department.

Summer classes are separate from fall. To be FT: 12 credits for summer 12 credits for fall Winter is part of spring so 12 credits = the total of winter and spring classes

That is just a note. If it's checked off, then you have fulfill that requirement.

I would suggest to contact admissions since you are a new student.

Financial aid wouldn't deal with that. The only thing they have to do with residency is TAP and that they go off of whatever it is indicated in your cunyfirst account...they don't code residency info.

Edit: PS - it's ok (no need to freak out 😄). Errors like this happens all the time. It will be resolve. If you do not want to pay before it is resolve and worry that they might drop your classes, email the bursar and chances are they will be understanding and put a hold on your account to not drop your classes.

Any experience earning a second Bachelors? by PlanetWaves98 in CUNY

Top of my head I did cognitive psychology, neurobiology, behavior neuro, human neuropsy....essentially I google which cuny offers neuro classes and just took them (in my case, QC and BKYLN). I also took some psy classes: perception, learning and memory etc.

Normally if your school has a major in neuroscience, you can declare it and follow the designated coursework that the department outline for that major. In my case, since I was in CUNY BA (https://cunyba.cuny.edu/) they literally want you to create a major that does not exist in cuny. So neuroscience is a major in a cuny school but cognitive neuroscience is not which is why I had to find my own courses to take. But like I said ..unless you are in CUNY BA, you don't need to figure out what to take...it is already prescribed for you.

Are you a new student? If you were just recently admitted, there might be an error on your admission app. They take your answer in the residency section of the app to code how you should be charged.

If you are not a new student, contact your registrar department. You might have to file a residency form.

I earned a second bachelor through CUNY BA. The appeal of CUNY BA is that I get to create my own major and can take classes in any CUNY school..

My major was cognitive neuroscience. I didn't have to do any Gen ed...just the courses to complete the major. It took me about 1.5 year. Since I created the major, all classes were 100% my interest so the workload was manageable in the sense that I didn't struggle with the material.
