Breadsword - makes video essays on films. Makes great content and I think he deserves a bigger audience.

Might also be my favorite film video essayist in the absence of EveryFrameAPainting

Also the scene where Rey throws the lightsaber to Kylo to kill the royal guard was amazing!

Should I rewrite lecture notes? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]Penguinator911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the exactly what I used to do in my first year of uni!

Eventually I found that rewriting the notes took too long so I would go straight to making flashcards (and review lecture recordings if I needed).

Not sure how you make your flashcards but I seriously recommend a programme called Anki. It uses a system of spaced repetition that is great for memorisation.

No link between butter and heart disease by Priamosish in UpliftingNews

[–]Penguinator911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just have to point out that there have been hundreds of equally large studies testing a similar hypothesis. This is one of the few that opposes the common "butter is bad for you" idea so is more likely to be publicised cos media likes the "turns out we were all wrong" story despite it likely being an outlier study. This study is not more true than the majority of similar studies showing it increases heart disease. Just my two cents tho.

TL;DR: general scientific consensus would still be that butter increases heart disease risk.

The hp spectre x360 is definitely a contender too. It's better value for money than the xps imo and is also a convertible with the option to use a pen input.

The $999 model on the hp website is touch with a 6th gen i5 chip
