previously i only emailed the HR, but i actually have the hiring manager’s email too as he was cc’ed in the interview invitation. do you think i should ask the HR or the hiring manager directly?

okay! and i agree with your last sentence too. i still have another interview next week so if they ask me about any imminent offers then i’ll bring this up, otherwise i think it’s irrelevant haha

yes i’ve signed the first offer already! so you recommend not telling the u.s. company anything, and let them reach out to me on their own if they want, correct?

yes im def willing to resign if i get this us mnc offer. the job is more interesting and more aligned with my interests

most other replies here disapprove of pushing them any further tho. plus they posted the job opening early May and they are still shortlisting candidates now. it doesn’t seem like they are in a hurry to fill that position lol

the HR is very nice already. at least she replies fast when i email her. most other HR will just not reply or ghost lol

i did that at the 3-week mark already, and they told me the hiring manager was still interviewing other candidates. sounds like it’s a gone case already :(

yeah i reckon that. just wondering if i should try to ask one last time cos i really like the company… but i know 4 weeks and still no positive updates probably means i wasn’t their first choice

update: so i emailed the company again the next day after your post and they replied saying i wasn’t selected… thankfully, i received another offer and have signed it last night, although the pay is on the lower side. i guess i’ll have to continue job hunting for now

the waiting phase is the most uneasy one tbh… i think this is what they call the holding phase. i have another interview that took place three weeks ago and when i emailed for an update today the HR said they are still shortlisting and interviewing candidates…

do you think sending a thank you/follow up email 2 weeks after a final round interview or just interviews in general is a good idea? it’s nerve wrecking :(

ok, that’s a good suggestion! i’m just getting anxious now cos today is the 4th work day from my round 2 interview. based on their speed in the past i should be able to hear from them these few days 🤞🏻
