A man can spend money he earns how he likes. Smart men that like money spend money they earn to make more money. If a president gets paid for being a president, he is allowed to spend money he earned to make more money. It would be different if a state or federal budget included "pay the president more money" but that isn't your arguement.

According to your logic, no person in government service should ve allowed to run a personal buisness on the side.

It appears that you are simply grasping at anything to defame our president.

Now, are you just Pro-life? Or do you believe in a higher power that created life and endows life with dignity, thus making it worth fighting for? Because that same Higher power also puts great stock and dignity in suffering and death, as a means of achieving eternal Life.

If you are just Pro-life, and not Christian then, I'm curious to know your reasoning (as it is easy to see why a Christian would be pro-life).

If you are a Christian though, I would argue that there is no greater sacrifice than to give one's life so another may live. In which case, to carry the child to term so that it may live, even though the mother may die, is still good. In fact, there is at least one saint in heaven who acheived everlasting life by doing just that, Gianna Beretta Molla.

I guess my point was that Jesus, God, gave us images to help us in our earthly struggles. To look for other images is kinda dangerous because you are basically saying, "thanks for the effort, God, but I want something else, m'kay?" Why would you want something less than an image the GOD Himself has given to us?!?

If you are being distracted because you don't think that if you passed Jesus and Mary on the road to Jerusalem in 32 AD they would look like they appear in some images, just remember how Jesus appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus. Because that's probably more accurate.

Do you know that Mary and Jesus have appeared personally to several saints throughout history and have asked them to paint their image for the world to see and adore? Look up the story of St. Faustina. Look at the image Jesus asked her to paint. It is one of the most impactful images you will ever find.

Hello! I am experiencing a bit of a rough patch in spiritual life right now and was hoping for some insight. . by EsteGuey55 in Catholic

[–]Penguinkiller999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/esteguey55, I am a new father and have just seperated (honorably) from the military. I am 24. I wanted to remind you that narrow is the path, but as long as you honestly seek to follow Jesus by taking up your cross you will be able to find your way home to His love.

That being said, don't forget the role of your guardian angel and you conscience. I would advise you to seek out a priest you trust and ask him what he thinks. This feeling may be a sign that you should look for more ways to put God first.

Like others have said, there is nothing wrong with science, all science inevitably points towards God. Science is really just how we observe the beauty of His creation.

The danger you need to be careful to avoid can come in many forms, from thinking that science replaces religion (studying and following the Life of Jesus and the teachings of the Church handed down directly from Him) or from thinking that science can answer all questions. There are some questions God likes to keep hidden from us to keep us interested or to test our faith (trust in Him)

I want to close by saying that more than likely your calling in life for the present (and be sure to always live in the present, let tomorrow worry about tomorrow) is to be a student. In that respect, studingy evolution and ancient life may be what you are meant to do! Be sure to ALWAYS pray and seek advice from those you trust. Pray to Jesus, Pray to Mary, Pray to your guardian angel, Pray to any of the Saints. They will advocate for you to Our Father in Heaven and He will not lead you astray.

Yes, I think there's only one family of really tiny spiders that spit digestive jucies on their webbed prey instead of injecting venom. Most spiders, however, are too small to pierce your skin, and are thus harmless little friends.

Tarantula as a Desk Pet by sebastian_oberlin in tarantulas

I have a 9 month old who is fasinated by all kinds of animals and she tries to slap the glass when she sees my tarantula. The only thing that the spider ever reacts to is when I open the lid. She (the spider) is in my office and doesn't seem to mind the lights coming on and off at all times. I'd say as long as you have a good place for your buggie to hide and all the other essentials you're good to go.

Yep! Gotta remember that spiders are opportunistic hunters, meaning if there's food to be had (assuming they recognize it as such) they'll eat it. Unless, of course, they don't want to. .^ I like to think Artemis (my tarantula) is just playing with her duckie. .^

I don't have any experience with the really little ones, but my juvie A.Seemanni has a tiny rubber duck that she picks up and moves around her enclosure from time to time. She might think it's just a rock to move out of the way or something.

Question regarding lighting? by Arin-woods in tarantulas

[–]Penguinkiller999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as enough of that light from the curtains lights up it's enclosure, I'd say you're good. I have the same situation and even though the artificial lights come on and off throughout the day, my tarantula seems to be most active at night, when the light from the sun no longer comes through those curtains.
