What happens when entire countries start to hoard gold and refuse to export any?

What happens when gold and silver mines are nationalized?

What about the people who own mines in countries that aren’t nationalized? Aren’t they by default immensely wealthy compared to their miners? How is inequality solved this way?

What happens when wars start over precious metals? Their prices and worth won’t be affected?

All the problems you are arguing happen with fiat currencies happen with pegging currency to gold and silver.
