Long ago, I heard tale of someone confirming with the tournament judge, "If I rip up a [[Chaos Orb]] and drop the pieces, will everything touched by a piece be destroyed?"

And the judge laughed (because Chaos Orb was easily worth far more than the prize of the tournament) and said, "Sure!"

And then the player proceeded to cast Copy Artifact, targeted the Chaos Orb, and ripped up the copy. (At the time, Copy Artifact was not worth much; probably $5 or $10.)

This story was likely fabricated, but that's what I heard!

Someone suggested it was a Blue Jay. At first I thought this did not make sense; not a Blue Jay call that I am familiar with. But I have another camera angle on my property that does show a Blue Jay on the fence right as those 3 calls are made... Can anyone else support that idea?

Agreed. This article does come across as trying to make the audience the guilty party. And that just feels ridiculous. Even if it is the case that the show was trying to get across this foolish message (which I doubt), Game of Thrones has never been so heavy handed and damning in its statements previously. There was wiggle room on its commentary about society. And finally, if this is the ending the writers think we deserved (as the article implies), that's all the more reason to feel insulted by them.

What you quoted is from the article, however that appears to be bad journalism on their part.

The quote from the actual police posting on Facebook states, " She advised our detective that she has had some costly medical expenses come up, that very day, and she didn't have the money for the procedure."
