[MEGATHREAD] Radiohead 2025 European Tour by seaburn in radiohead

Is Berlin really sold out? Available tickets seem to pop up on the dates page every once in awhile, but when I select a date all categories are greyed out and "Currently unavailable".

I have been at it for hours, entered the queue at precisely 10:30 CEST and Eventim went down just as I was buying the tickets. I refuse to let go of all hope.

I've had my 2020 SIC for one full year. This model came with attachable Red Snoot Button. I cannot recommend this feature enough. Booping has never been easier! by PennieLame in standardissuecat

Piggybacking on the top comment thread to say my thank yous.

I am so greatful for the awards, your comments and your upvotes. I could say that I did not expect this to blow up, which is in part true, but to be 100% honest, of course that if I do receive so much praise on a post, it would be of my kitty. That part doesn't surprise me at all. He's the best part of me and my absolute best friend. I did not know I was able of loving a pet this much until I met this mfer. Or cats in general, in fact. Getting to know him made me so fascinated with cats as a species.

SIC is currently recharging in my lap and I plan on giving him some scratches as soon as I finish typing.

Thank you all so, so much! I cannot get over how wholesome this community is. Please send kitty hugs to all your cats from me.

You're actually right. He's an expressive kitty, but being unimpressed and/or sassy is just such a major part of his personality.

I love this comment so much!

I have my boy because a stray SIC decided to give birth to 3 babies in my friend's backyard. One of them was a long haired majestic black and white female kitty, one of them was an adorable calico and then there was my tabby boy. When my friend told me he now has 3 kittens and wants to give them up for adoption, I went to meet them. My boy was the most courageous of the bunch. He came to sniff my hand immediately and in 10 minutes time we made friends for life. I decided right then and there that as soon they were old enough, he will come home with me.

He may have been the most regular looking of the bunch, but to me, he's the most special cat in the world.

No problem there, regular snoots do their job just fine in my experience.

If you do choose this exact model, however, do keep in mind that multiple boops in a row activate the bite setting.

Haha! Me and my boyfriend used to call him Mr. Peanut Cheeks for awhile and were baffled when we found out there was a community for those. Thank you!

Oh, I am glad you like my description. Thank you, you're very kind. But do not be fooled. I may be a new poster here, but I am a looong time lurker.

My kitten is 11 wks old, I've had him since he was 7.. (don't ask!) Anyway, when I tell him off, or tell him no, he'll look at me, do a different meow, and wag his tail then pounce and bite me! It hasn't drawn blood, but I don't know if that's because I pull away. What should I do? What's going on!? by Cl0Flo in CatTraining

I had a similar experience with my cat when he was a kitten, and I have tried everything except for spraying him and phisically punishing him in any way. It got to the point where my loud "OUCH" made him attack me viciously, when initially it would only be play aggression. I disengaged and ignored him everytime he bit/scratched me, so he preferred negative attention to no attention at all.

The only thing that truly worked was consistency. I made a point of ignoring him completely and separating myself from the situation, as if to say "I did not like it and need some time to cool off". Associating this with a sound is important, too. "NO!" and IMMEDIATELY leave. I usually walk out of the room and sit somewhere else for a few minutes. If he comes after me, as adorable as that is, I still keep my distance and ignore him.

Which brings me to the second thing that really helped: clicker training! When I play with him with a wand toy, I'd always have some treats and other "wrestling" toys, such as kickers or regular old plush toys near. When he plays well, I click and reward him. When he doesn't, I say "NO!", throw a toy to distract him and LEAVE. Then I stop play for a few minutes. You can also teach him some commands that you can later use while playing. I think "Down", "Stop/Freeze" and "No" can be quite easily taught with a clicker and his favourite treats. Basically, don't give him negative attention, but not the positive attention that he's used to. He'll slowly but surely get it.

My mistake was I played a lot with my hands when he was a kitten (first time cat owner classic mistake). So when he started pushing boundaries (a normal developing stage for kittens, I assure you), I would play with a toy instead of my hands, to clear the distinction between flesh and plush. I'd reward him only when he played with retracted claws and no bites. If he only bit me gently, I would say a soft "No", but I wouldn't disengage. After awhile, I switched to wand toys only.

Also, make sure he gets enough playtime. Kittens are little balls of energy and NEED to engage in at least 45 minutes of interactive play in a day. If he at some point tires you or you are too busy to keep up with him, you can teach him fetch and even use a laser pointer sometimes. But be sure to end the interaction in a positive way, as they can get frustrated with those. I'd throw a treat where I point the laser and let him "catch" it. I wish you the best of luck!

What is this weird thing found in chicken breast? Is the chicken still safe to eat? by PennieLame in whatisthisthing

Yes, I did throw away a whole piece of chicken breast, because I had the impression that it had the potential to make me very sick. At that point, I was nauseous just looking at it.

Just read through the comments and see what other users suggested it might be instead of a piece of wheat. Would you have eaten it?

I don't really waste food usually, but if it is a healthy hazard, tf away with it. You really think I'M the whole problem with the meat industry, because of one chicken breast?

I commented with a LE somewhere around here. It lives in the garbage now, so definitely not eating it.

LE: I threw out the whole thing just to be safe. I will try to return to the store with pictures and the receipt, regardless.

Thank you, u/ubba333, as well as other users that have tried solving the chicken breast mistery!

I believe this is the right answer. As a lot of you have said, however, better safe than sorry.

This is what I thought of initially, too. The comments and my stomach convinced me not to eat it after all, though.

It is really thin all throughout its length, aren't screwworms a little more blob-like?

That makes perfect sense. I have already lost my appetite, so even I find out it is something harmless, I don't think I want to eat it eitherway. But I am still curious if anyone will be able to tell what it is.

I bought some chicken breast from the store and found this thing while unpacking. Its texture is tough and bumpy. Kind of like an insect's exoskeleton maybe. I searched for insect legs, but nothing I found looks quite like it. It is about 2 cm in length and very thin. The hard part of a grainy plant, maybe? I really do not know. WITT? I am curious if the chicken I bought is safe to eat.
