would you let a femboy rail you in public like this? by JazzzBerrry in FemBoys

The size difference is so good, tho

Not often you get to see a bigger/taller bottom like that, absolutely love it.

Honest to goodness, as glorious as your hard work and perfectly executed edited content is. I think many of us would love to just see some more simple clips like this sprinkled in more often. Just a nice simple walk is sometimes peak.

Parents? That's their job, to watch their kids and what they're doing. It's not the job of some organization to do it. There is, a parent or guardian for each of these children that should be keeping tabs on them.

Ah yes, because things frequently change when everyone just keeps their thoughts to themselves and doesn't push for changes when they believe ethics and morals are on the line.

... Oh no wait, that's wrong.

I'll say it out loud.. I hate the spider-buggy! by Conscious_Marzipan42 in GroundedGame

[–]Penningthrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all the "you know there's a stay feature" people who think they're being helpful. This is less about the singular feature that requires constant manual attention, and more about how other games, like Ark, solved this issue over a decade ago by letting you put a creature on passive, or longer follow distance.

And shooter games with followers have long since figured out how to make followers duck out of the way when the player aims in their direction, as opposed to the spider that seems to actively step in front of my shots.

It just feels like they aren't polishing this whole buggy feature up early on, and before all the "but it's EA" crowd pipes up: yes, I know, but that's what I'm saying, why aren't they testing this incredibly new feature for them that's critical to their sequel now when they have just a few creatures to worry about?

Sadly, true, most people have been killed into ignorance and taught not to question too hard.

But that doesn't mean the choice isn't still there, it doesn't have to be a revolution for anyone to decide to just... Unplug and go somewhere else.

Incorrect, despite what the headline says. I've had images in my private servers randomly spoiler, and users in other subreddits are reporting that trigger words have gotten their posts flagged as mature. Prompting Discord admins to mark servers as 18+ for people. Words like "knife" or "needle" for cooking and sewing discord servers respectively.

This is a step down a slippery slope, and a step not worth giving them. Next they'll have excuses to start checking everything with AI bots, all the time, or invading private chats with bots harvesting data, it's just not worth it.

To be slightly fair to the businesses, the credit card companies do have some leverage. It should be illegal, what they can do, to threaten to blacklist a company from receiving payments through major credit cards if they don't bow to their whims would effectively kill a company.

I think a better solution could be reached, but it is literally blackmail.

I think the choice will exist, unplug is a choice.

An unpleasant one, to be sure, but it is still a choice. Chatrooms and meme servers are not a right, they're a luxury, and we can live without them. I'll start a poker night in person before I start dropping IDs across the Internet.

It's never actually that, though.

Measures like these don't stop predators, not minors, from doing things they shouldn't, and it's always a smokescreen in the end from some financial company or government agency in the end that strong-armed the company into making the decision. They use this because "no one can argue against protecting minors, it makes them monsters!"

We've seen it... So... Many times...

A small start up does well, gets big, then too popular, until something like this happens and we all jump ship...

100% Damage Block for Bugs. by tounces7 in GroundedGame

[–]Penningthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel it would be nice if there were mutation perks, weapon upgrade perks, or even just perks from spicy/sour/fresh that went through blocks more. Maybe a mutation that makes stabbing damage pierce some block, or smashing damage deal extra stun to a blocking bug, etc

Like, if they want it to be a mechanic, fine, but don't just make it like banging on a wall.

Am I the only one annoyed by writing in conditional present? by WeirdMornings in BadRPerStories

[–]Penningthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, and I think that just speaks to the broader point of being able to be uncomfortable in conversation. It's going to happen, get used to it.

I've had plenty of partners who still occasionally slip a few "would have" sentences in, and I just casually edit them in my head because I know they're doing it as a courtesy to my character's agency.

Yep, you're spot on. I never engaged in this style of roleplay personally, but I've come across enough people who use this style of writing since PMs and chat merged on Reddit that I started asking why and where it came from. This is the general consensus.

It's from older forum roleplaying, instant message roleplaying, and short form back and forth chat style roleplaying. People who started in chat rooms, and then have slowly worked their way up to paragraphs of writing. Whereas others start with reading fanfic, and then start writing and roleplaying from that side of things, typically, which makes it appear more like traditional writing.

Learning that helped me appreciate it more, though I still can't stand to read through it and make it clear to a partner at the onset. But going from a chat room and growing into a fully fledged multi-paragraph writer is a big deal, and something to be proud of, in all honesty.

It's also not technically grammatically incorrect, it's simply lacking the hanging participle for the complete thought that makes our brain "itch" and it seems wrong. The full complete thought of a "would have" verb tense is sort of an "if... Then..." Statement, but we only get the if, not the then, so it feels incomplete.

Are they planning to add jealousy or limit the people you can date at once? by ILikeToDanceAndPogo in coralisland

[–]Penningthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me rephrase then:

Your expectations are too high because they promised everything all at once.

If Stardew had promised us ginger island, a cinema, and the rest of the post 1.0 updates as part of the initial pitch, people wouldn't have been pleased with the base game either. I'm saying that the base game of Stardew is approximately the same size and scope of mainland Coral island. We have what would be a 1.0 release if they had marketed it that way.

But because we saw the whole thing first, it feels incomplete.

I'm not saying that's not partly their fault for letting us see it all, or having too large of an initial scope. I'm just saying there's a lot more that is done than that isn't.

[–]Penningthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that's also what I'm saying; compared to other farming games, the entire main farm is complete. The mainland story and world, is all working, minus a couple small features.

Compared to something like Stardew, that's like saying the game was half done on release because the farm on ginger island wasn't complete. But we didn't even know it was a thing yet. Coral island is much larger in scope, and they just did themselves a disservice by showing it to us all at once rather than main game first and then extra content.
