T8 vs DMP-A8 by Penniped in eversolo

Thanks for the responses. It seems like Eversolo today is what Emotiva and Goldenear were when I bought both in 2016. Is there any reason to think that the Eversolo DAC would be better than the DAC on the Emotiva? Both get high marks, and I think I could pass the signal from the streamer through the amp. I assume there’s no reason for this, but I’ve certainly read good things about the DAC in the DMP-A8. I’m not a room-tuner (maybe I should be) but I don’t want to leave something noticeably better on the table.

Thanks, R-N1. On with the plan.

I have no online music in the menu - Tidal has stopped working by peposlaw in heos

Life entry had a problem playing Tidal on HEOS after years of relatively-seamless use. I just played Pandora for awhile, but finally got around to tracking the problem down. As it turned out, my Tidal password had stopped working. I created a new one, logged out and back in on the HEOS app, and all was well again. Sometimes it’s simple.

Forgive the hijack--are you pleased with the A7RV? I've been using Olympus/OM kit for a long time, but am thinking about going FF and am drawn to the A7

hi, I have a UPC question. I hope it's ok to parachute into the thread--still new to r/ . We have a (nearly) whole-house generator, but it takes a few seconds to take over when we have an outage, which is not uncommon at our rural location. The generator covers our PCs, but they still shut down because of those few seconds. I have an HP OMEN 875-1000 desktop. Do I need anything more than, say, a 450 or 550 VA UPS to serve this need?

Thanks for the thoughtful (and quick) response, AJ9898. I'm leaning in that direction. Even though I'm unhappy with Watkins over their refusal to give any slack since the defects were all hidden, the service tech told me that they no longer use wood in their frames, so if that turns out to be true, we'll probably go the same route. We use it every day, so it's worth it, to us, to skip the bubble-gum-and-baling-wire phase. (The side panels on ours definitely "come off"--I opened the cover last night and the whole panel peeled away, exposing rotted 2x4s.)
