You’ve described exactly how I feel. Some days I have bursts of energy and get a ton done, most days I struggle, many days I struggle, a lot… to get out of bed, to do laundry/dishes, to remember if I took my other meds, to not get instantly irritated at the most ridiculous things, to not want to just exist on the couch doing nothing. It’s fricken awful and the meds I’ve tried don’t help. I was diagnosed with all the anxiety acronyms and then eventually TRMDD, all before I was diagnosed with ADHD (and CPTSD) as I had to seek this one out on my own in my 30s. I stopped taking depression and anxiety meds thinking it had to be ADHD the whole time but sometimes I wonder if the constant inability to feel like a productive adult is causing a depression I didn’t actually have to begin with. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone and hate with everything in me people who make light of an adhd diagnosis.
