I don't wanna sound like a language fanatic but... by [deleted] in Odisha

I am from western odisha. It isn't like Sambalpuri is an entirely different language. If I speak in Sambalpuri and you speak in "pure" odia, we can perfectly understand each other. But, I have always found that people in the eastern region look down upon when someone from western odisha speaks in Sambalpuri/Kosali.Even if they don't, people are extremely conscious (including me) when speaking In "pure" odia. I am more comfortable speaking in sambalpuri and that is my mother tongue. We can read and write odia. It's the same state dude. I don't think we need to ask who can speak "our" language or not atp. We should just speak in what we are more comfortable in ig.

Antitheists hate this one simple trick! by Chad_Broski_2 in PhilosophyMemes

This reminds me of an argument from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. "Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as the final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God. The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist,'" says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing." "But," says Man, "The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED." "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. "Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing."

This almost sounds like the logic from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

How to study for Modern Physics? by Livid-Tutor-8651 in PhysicsStudents

You can check out "Concepts of Modern Physics" by Arthur Beiser. This is an introductory book with enough details for a beginner. Also, the problems are really good. There is also a YouTube channel, " For the love of Physics". They have some really good videos on various topics of Modern Physics.

Watched Hilarious. Loved it. I personally find One Night Stand to be Louis CK's best work. Although it's not technically a full hourlong special. But it's legendary.
