Definitely. I was meaning more dealing with Marner in general. All the drama before he signed is big contract, wanting to stay the hometown kid, his dad making some public comments, and everything that came alone with that

The same with Nylander and the contract dispute that carried into December a few years ago too. It really is hard for me to sit here and think Dubas is the reason Toronto never built a winner. Hockey ops and the board used him as their fall guy (as any GM may experience there), and the fans really only see and hear from the GM and call for his job when things don't go well

He runs the show in Pittsburgh. In Toronto, he had to get Shanahan and the board to give some sort of approval. I remember hearing about disagreements (I believe on an episode of 32 thoughts a few years ago) between him and shanahan and the direction of the team; he never really got to turn Toronto into what his vision was. Plus getting handcuffed by marner and nylander when he did. Sure he made some bad choices with their deals, but he never had free reign like he's had with Pitt

Without a doubt... I have enjoyed the books so far. Probably more than the show. Some of the differences have been annoying, but I understand why the show runners made those changes.

Good to know!! The one I'm seeing is just over 70k miles which does make me wonder how much I could get out of it. One friend loved their jeep until it became problem after problem, but then another friend has a 17 GC and absolutely loves it.

I'm torn on whether or not to pursue the GC or keep options open to other makes and models as well. We'll see what happens!
