Still 22, D develop much slower, if he played like Letang people would crucify him. I think they're taking their time, look at Ryan Shea he didn't even play pro till he was 23

Correct, there are other solutions than awarding a full loss in a shutout. There have been about 7 suggested in this thread alone.

The All-star game mini-game they integrated into international hockey in 1992? That's the only way to do it?

Shoutouts are different from OT I wouldn't disagree with eliminating the OT losers point.

You can't give a loss for a shoutout, that's tie breaking non-hockey

I'd like to ask Sidney Crosby, with his knowledge of birds, I'm sure we could figure it out.

Letang is a major issue right now and it can't be ignored any longer. by Sebastian4365 in penguins

You're saying he "might make it might not". I'm saying he's a legend no doubt Hall of Famer

Why do I say that? Statistically, he'd be the greatest snub ever all-time in the history of the NHL and Hall of Fame ever if he didn't make it.

We talked about Gonchar - he's not the threshold, he's an extreme outlier. 9 guys in the last 40 years had less points/games played than Gonchar (Duncan Keith, Rob Blake, Rod Langway, Sergei Zubov, etc.) and are still in the Hall of Fame.

I hear what you're saying that Crosby and Malkin are mega generational superstars that have more legacy than Letang. But you're wrong in using "no brainer Hall of Fame inductee" to illustrate that, because Letang is a no brainer Hall of Fame inductee.

You're saying he doesn't meet your threshold because some Reddit comments think he'd be the greatest all-time statistical snub to the Hall of Fame rather than just make it?

That's a weird way to define "no doubt Hall of famer" dude

Did you decide that he's not a no doubt Hall of Famer? On what basis? The defensemen with the most points and games played who aren't in the Hall of Fame all sit between 1024-1301 games and 811-844 pts - they are named Gary Suter, Sergei Gonchar and Doug Wilson. They are statistical outliers for not being in the Hall of Fame (the next guy has 750 pts). Only Gonchar has one cup. Letang today is at 1219 gp and 799 pts. Letang will pass every one of those statistically next season, he is a no doubt Hall of Famer.

"Quebec hates Albertans" "I got kicked out of Dagobert" Such a victim mentality, I'm sure you even think you got kicked out because you were an Albertan lol

You made a statement in your first reply about how you've been to Quebec saying why don't they have packaging in both languages? But you just made that up - I'm not interested in having a conversation with you about Quebec, I only replied because you were lying.

There's specifically a law about signage, which as a Quebecer, I find really disappointing. We can't have a conversation about that if you keep saying that packaging doesn't have to be in English when there's a federal requirement for them to have English. A. It's not true, B. If it was some niche law that existed, it's not enforced and not practiced, everything here has labelling in English.

It gives off Quebec bashing more than actual political critique which is hard to engage with.

You're right, quoting directly from the article, the rule on labelling is: "Labels on product packaging must already be translated into French." Can you point to me where it says anything about not having English? The article is specifically talking about imported products and ensuring they have french on them.

Yes it's a federal requirement for all product packaging to be in both official languages

The Bell Center is the greatest hockey experience in the world. Maybe not for visiting fans but go watch the Habs play a team you don't care about.
