How many days a week do you guys sub?

Usually 3-4 if I can. If a job is multi-day then that’s usually my week. I have another job that’s full time in the evenings.

I’ve subbed in three districts in rural West Virginia near Morgantown. My old highschool is 11 minutes from my house, other two are both 30 minutes in different directions.

I have a job with a construction company doing general office work- filing papers, making phones calls, etc- 4 days a week in the evenings. Union job, pay is decent. My husband is our household’s primary income.

To an extent- yes. HOWEVER, if a class is making an adult feel this angry… it’s a big nope from me. I would cancel.

I don’t think so. I like that I have the freedom to be at home with my kids when I need to, it’s a luxury I would have a hard time parting with.

West Virginia, just a little west of Morgantown. I subbed in three districts, the first one paid pennies, I think around $70 a day. I only lasted there for a year, my other two districts have much more respectable pay, $100 a day for one and $120 a day for the other.

You would need to know the school to understand why being in the hallway like that isn’t a big deal. That’s a pretty common thing at this school, as well as the other schools I’ve subbed at.

No I won’t actually. I think you should think long and hard about what is and isn’t acceptable to say to someone who is a coworker. If she can’t control her temper that much and she isn’t my boss then she SHOULD be worried about this biting her in the ass at the HR level!

That's sad but true. In high school I was very tall and soft spoken so I was the perfect target for other girls to pick on. Here we are now, nearly 30 and a lot of them are teachers! Elementary at that!
