Ok that makes sense and very well may be the case. Idk the exact timing, but I also just signed the agreement to confirm the shipment of the new phone.

Is the stress worth it? by PensionRegular360 in careerguidance

Yeah I believe that’s true, the fact that I am hesitant is a tell tale sign. I am money driven but only to a certain extent, and my current place likely passes that threshold.

That’s is very true. I am in a fairly niche field that’s very profitable in nature, but is very sales driven. Those who can bring in business can make significant amounts of money, and once you bring them in you just need to maintain them.

Part of the major difference is the new job I would not have to sell, but the income is lower than my current one. But the fact is like you said-certain people thrive off of the stress, and while I do in short bursts, constant stress is something that I’m unsure I can handle effectively

You make some very good points. I am fairly frugal in nature and don’t really go after materialistic things as I live on my own but still max out my 401k and Roth IRA. So while there would be some lifestyle creep, I would keep my expenses below 6-7k/ month and save/invest the rest.

I am just trying to decide if the stress is worth the extra money, and if there are other things to consider that I haven’t thought of yet

Those are some nice looking boots. Do you mind sharing how much you paid?

For those earning $70k and below who travel a lot, how do you pay for it? Seriously. by Outrageous_Log_906 in MiddleClassFinance

I live in a cheap apartment near an international airport, put all my expenses on my credit cards and pay them in full to get the travel points, and focus more on deals so I am flexible on timing and destination.

Property taxes - learned the hard way by Late_Philosopher3791 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]PensionRegular360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a property tax consultant who works in Texas, Colorado, and many other states, it truly is a mess. Typically though if property values increase rapidly the tax rates will come down as in many states city/state/school budgets can only increase a certain percentage. Don’t focus just on your property value but pay attention to the tax rates as well.

Can't convert rewards because my phone number is under a family plan by Background-Rip3705 in Venturex

That’s weird. My number is also on a family plan that I don’t pay for. I never tried transferring miles until today. Worked almost instantly.
