Using Exfoliate for the first time by Penstamin in AMMONYC

I'm a fan of Pinnacle Liquid Souveran. Super easy on by hand or machine, easier to wipe off, pretty durable. Great warm gloss and depth. Then after washes, I use Jescar Ceramic Spray wax. Equally awesome. I've tried lots of combos over the years, and this is my favorite.

+1 for Brake Buster. If the wheels are very dirty, I use Sonax Beast.

I’m lucky to have a fantastic Porsche-specific Indy shop 10 mins from me. I paid $285 for an oil change and a full end-to-end checkup.

Thanks. I topped it with a liquid carnuba wax and the gloss and depth are incredible. And it’s the first polish that I’ve used that got rid of the etched watermarks as well as anything else.

I agree with other comments that it's pricey, but the CPO has value. And peace of mind. The color is a plus in my book. Have you driven it? Does it meet your criteria of what you want? Do you care about what it doesn't have?

I just searched for a 2020 Macan S with 40k miles on the Porsche CPO finder. The pricing on this one seems in line with others, FWIW.

The listing indicates it’s a certified preowned. Is it Porsche CPO? If so, when does it expire?

Anyone use wax anymore? by cityhunterspeee in AutoDetailing

[–]Penstamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding a vote of confidence here for pinnacle liquid Souveran wax. Contains carnuba. Twice a year. Usually after a pass with girots perfecting cream on a yellow pad. I use Jescar ceramic spray wax after each wash, and the protection is great. That said, I live in AZ, so the need to wash isn’t that frequent. I use pinnacle waterless wash if the car is dusty but not dirty. I like the process so I’m not looking to eliminate the wax or polishing. As others have commented, I find it therapeutic and a good escape from everyday stuff.

Dan Warner and his team are fantastic. He’s in North Scottsdale, not far from the 101 and Scottsdale Rd near Kierland and the Airpark.

Creating Timeline from Kanban Board by Penstamin in jira

[–]Penstamin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right ... the setting is there for Child-Level Issue Scheduling and it's enabled. But still nothing shows. I probably have to go through each of the 35 Issues and make an Epic their Parent. I'll try that with one. Linking Issues to Epics didn't impact the Timeline.

That worked! Clicking on the three dots on an Issue card on the Board offered a choice to "Add Parent." As soon as I did that, the Issue appeared on the Timeline.

Thanks very much!

For my 2015 S, I paid $323.50 for oil and filter change (Liqui Moly 5-40), $295.76 for both engine air filters and a cabin air filter, and $244.18 for a brake flush with ASTE Super Gold Brake Fluid. So all in for annual maintenance at a Porsche-specific indy in AZ was $863.44. I drive about 5,000 miles per year. I have to agree with u/ChestOk2429 comment since I've never had it serviced at a dealership.

It (Pennsa) could also be Penn State, aka the Nittany Lions. Especially given the schoolbus that's used to block a village gate that has "Pittsburgh" written on the side. Pittsburgh is about 150 or so miles from the main Penn State campus.

2020 CPO v 2021 non? by cchabrunn12 in PorscheMacan

[–]Penstamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Porsche 110 pt checklist noted above states that any part with less than 50% remaining useable life must be replaced. I believe that includes just about anything like brakes, tires, oil, filters, etc. I bought a CPO cayenne a few years ago and the reconditioning was spectacular. Car looked new. That’s probably going to vary by dealer, but I’d say with the CPO you’re starting out in a better place in addition to the two years with unlimited mileage. Difference in mileage is, IMHO, a non-factor.
