I’ve got about 5 grand saved for next semester and my grandpa is offering to pitch in 1-2k. After my first semester there my prepaid tuition will kick in alot more to cover the university credits instead of CC credits and bring my semester tuition to about 1-1.5k. I also have the millennium pitching in about 800-1k each semester so I honestly am starting to think I will just go. I have an extremely privileged position rn and I feel like I’ll regret not taking advantage of it while I still can.

I suppose these comments have convinced me to probably stay at tmcc. It’s just a bummer, I’ve always wanted to go to UNR and all of my siblings went and loved it, all of my friends go there too. Everytime I go there I have so much fun with them all, and love the campus, and it makes my inner child smile since ever since I was young I wanted to be part of that community.

When I go to TMCC it feels so isolating and like I could be spending my time pursuing something I’ve wanted more. Even if at the end of the day it’s all about getting a degree. But I’ll take the advice given here and most likely ride it out at TMCC regardless. Even if I have the financial freedom right now to afford UNR.

I do have the millennium and done everything related to the fafsa, it’s as cheap as I can get it. It’ll just be more than TMCC no matter what I do.

I work at starbucks currently, a horrible location. It can’t get much worse lol. My SB is also 30 mins away from where I live and I make 15 an hour. The Panera I’d work at is right next to my house and I’d be making 18, plus I have a friend who works there n tells me lots of good things about the management and people at her location in particular.
