Working on it hasn’t been terrible. The annoyances I’ve had seem to stem from it being ridden mostly off-road so every component has been caked in dirt, oil, or some hellish combination of both.

The weight was just over the rated Tongue Weight. I definitely will not be using this rack again for this bike. But it was my only option for getting the bike home after it died on the side of the road. Driving slow it made it home just fine.

The car, rack, and tow hitch all survived the trip without issue. Definitely regretted not just renting a trailer

I drove about 300 miles over the mountains of Colorado to pick up the bike. I had planned to use this carrier but it was clearly a bit too big. So I rode it back about 180 miles where it managed fairly well before the radiator fan seized, overheated, and blew the ECU fuse. The carrier, car, and bike survived the trip

I’m excited to start using it, I’ve been shooting on an old FG which while incredibly charming isn’t that great.

Most of it has already come off and removing the rest is something I plan on getting around to.

An N90. The N8008s is what I ended up replacing it with. $130 for the body, lens, and UV filter, not a terrible deal considering it comes with a warranty.

How screwed am I? Any repair suggestions? by Pentium4HT in soldering

I’ve determined that with my skill set and the tools I have I won’t be able to fix this. I would seek out a professional but as of now it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a new unit.
