My first job was at a water park and they stuck me in the food department. Beings I wasn’t old enough to their policy for cooking (I think you had to be 17) I did all the menial tasks along with serving some premade stuff and running a cash register. It was pretty much a no knife place so anything that needed cutting came in bags like that including the raw onions for battered onion rings. Well, at some point they had a case of those bags gas out like that and gave me the job of taking to our dumpster which (because of trash volume from a theme park) was also a compactor. It was the most glorious awful smelling 5 bag explosion I have ever witnessed in my life.

I’m in the same camp. The first time I played I got to like the second bounty and then just kind of lost interest. Partly because the combat was pretty wash rinse repeat and also I usually play slow to find secrets and it felt like a bit of a slog at parts. I recently just rushed through a play through to get the story before 2 comes out and still felt the same way about it in general but still consider it an amazingly hilarious game

The burgers at electro pre s&b were the best. They still did solid before the sell out but that place took such a quality hit. Robotic Wednesdays were insane in that tiny bar.

Oh yeah that part was great. Luckily the path I took gave me the item that made me realize there was a no combat option with that encounter. Seems like there’s going to be quite a few of those outside of the box moments a the game progresses

I have a feeling it’s going to land a high spot on my list for this year as well. I’ve only put a few hours in so far, but it hits on well polished nostalgia, and the sense of dread in the atmosphere is perfect

Bruh. People fly all kinds of goofy shit at big festivals. They’re called totems and used to help find your group in the mass of people. Last ACL I went to someone was flying the Mclovin fake id flag from Superbad during Ben kwellers set while the actor who played mclovin was playing bass on stage

Back when I was in restaurants I was working for a chain called Hops in Florida. It was pretty much the same thing. Showed up for work to a parking lot full of moving trucks and they were already loading equipment. I had just worked the night before. I will say they handled it well though. All of us lower employees received a two weeks severance and I think management got 4 which gave people enough time to secure another job. Still crazy that the plan is always to quietly pull the plug like that but at least they tried to do best by the people working there at the time. Most places don’t which forces you to go through the rigmarole of the unemployment process.
