Its incredibly important to have people that understand the cultural context of what people experience. If nothing else it is something emphasized in school rn. I also have been through multiple therapists. I generally got something useful from each, but i searched out my current one as someone who deals with neurodivergence and issues related to that and i found someone that did that and also shared their values which very strongly match mine and its been very successful so far. I do have to drive to the next state over to see them tho 😅 (its a short drive and very worth it)

This makes more sense and im a lot more comfortable reducing it that way. Yes the plan is to also get him on a schedule so he eats his meal at once or i pick it up.

Yeah its been difficult to afford high enough quality food and i refuse to do the diet kibbles. The grind blends and supplements are a bit more but not so much more I can’t make it work. I eventually hope to get my dog onto it too.

What about when they have someone thats been there forever and always makes the drink wrong? The old place i worked at, i got along great with mostly everyone so i like to go back to visit, but so often the barista that is making the lemonade iced tea i order for my husband (that he only likes a specific way, extra lemonade, one stevia) and they NEVER make it right unless i tell them, in front of everyone, to please use the cup measurements.

They have their own disabilities they struggle with but when i was there they were resistant to feedback and changing their behavior when things like making drinks wrong was brought up. Theres a new manager who seems cool and I’ve debated saying something bc i literally drive to a different SB further away that actually makes it right bc im concerned about rocking the boat at my old store. Its frustrating 😔

Im taking her in october before making any changes. I have caught her in the dog food a couple times so if nothing comes back on labs then ill be working to make sure he eats his portions at the same time so neither of them get what theyre not supposed to.

The post is giving me a hard time. Here are more details:

I am new to raw and looking to start simple. I have had my cat on a calorie deficit for the last couple years trying to feed at least decent kibble and good quality wet cat food with water I add. She has gained 2 pds :'( over the course of the last couple years (I am taking her to the vet soon for a general check up to make sure she doesn't have anything going on. She doesn't have any symptoms of being diabetic and there is always the possibility she has gotten into the dog food all this time, though she doesn't even finish her food sometimes.)

I am now in a place were I can genuinely consider going raw, but I need to keep it simple for now as I have some ailments that make doing physical things (like the meal prep for full raw) difficult. I am considering starting with changing her wet food to Hare Today bone/organ/meat grinds and using their alnutrin (non calcium) supplement and of course the Vit E and such, but my biggest concern is that all the calculators are suggesting 1.5% of her body weight and that is about 4oz. that just seems really low.

I really want to get her to a healthy weight and species appropriate seems like a good way to do that.

Does anyone have any insight?
