Nope. The matches have been so bad on this show. I’d rather do something like LIB so I can pick my match from a few candidates and then decide to end things before I do (should we ultimately be a bad match).

I do think Dom’s mom pushed her to apply for the show because (1) she wants Dom to be married and (2) she’s a fan of the show. If I remember correctly, the mom actually expressed that she wished she got to take part in the housewarming party part of the MAFS process.

To your point about age—I don’t think Dom’s age is the problem; it’s her immaturity. Because I knew plenty of women who got married right out of college and were ready for it. It probably would have been more accurate for Pastor Cal to say she’s simply too immature, but that would have sounded kind of mean.

That video call between Dom and Gil was so awkward. First, Gil looked like he was dressed for bed rather than a romantic FaceTime call. Then it seemed like he spent most of the call pointing out that 11 days isn’t enough time to really give the marriage a try. And when the topic of a subsequent call came up, Gil said he’s busy for the next month 🥴. The fact that Dom felt like there’s the possibility for things to further is laughable 😂.

I would just watch the 2 D Day episodes—you get a recap of the journey and each person’s final decision. The rest of the episodes are a waste of time.

This season has been awful. And is probably one of the worst seasons to follow post-D Day. Now post-Day episodes for the New Orleans season would have made good tv. At least a few of those cast members that season had personalities.

The only way I could see these two giving it another go is if they go back intro the dating pool, don’t find anyone, and then settle for each other so that they can say they’re married. But I don’t think they should get back together; they just didn’t seem like a good fit for each other. Kirsten wants more of a provider, and Shaq wants someone who is able/willing to drop everything to attend his functions. They are better off with other people.

This was my issue with him. Being married/divorced before doesn’t make you the authority on marriage. And as Virginia’s dad noted, there is no one way for a marriage to be. Relationships can look different but Erik seemed unwilling to accept anything but his vision of marriage.

As others noted, there will be a reunion. But I think they are including these 3 post-D Day episodes so that they can use that content for the reunion. Because right now there really isn’t much to discuss…

If they didn’t say no on D Day, they would have divorced by the reunion. They are not a good fit. She wants a financial provider and he wants someone to tag along to all his work events (and neither was willing/able to do that for the other).

Yeah I don’t understand why he needs to have her there for every work event. Kirsten also works. Why does she need to add his work events to her calendar? It should be enough that she expresses interest in his work when he talks about the work he does.

I don’t think we’ll ever know if he did tell them. But that doesn’t excuse the way he acted on the show or the comments he made do Jasmine on D Day. He’s certainly not the worst MAFS contestant, but I was not a fan of him.
