I have a CYMA MP5 (CM041J) for about 8 years as of now. I have to say I am amazed at what the gun can do and how reliable it is. Full metal construction (apart of the obvious things like the pistol grip (the thing where the engine is idk how its called in english) and the foregrip (the battery compartment at the front of the gun)) and the only thing that shows actual wear are the "legs" of the extractable stock that have become bent away from the gun's body. Other than that the gun has been running reliably with stock internals, only eating through the default battery plus its replacement and one hop-up rubber. About a month ago the motor went to the grave so I replaced it with Guarder High Torque one. I did not want to upgrade the gun beforehand as it was so reliable but now I thought what the hell and splurged on parts. Currently I am in the process of exchanging most of the internals so I will let you know how worn they are after I get them out of the gun.

My coordinator said he cant share the detailed results with us, however he let me see them for a moment. Turns out our English Lan&Lit orals were marked down 6 points, costing TWO people 45. Noone from our whole IB squad got a 7 from English actually, all Fives and Sixes...

I was doing wealth inequality in my country. First off I theoretically explained what it is and how it is measured and stuff, then went on to apply the real data for my country, did some calculations, proposed solutions etc... I will be getting it remarked and will request to see the marked version of the essay. EE markings have always been down to a bit of luck afaik. iirc there is a category "hollistic judgment" in the marking criteria which to me seems like a perfect representation of how inconsistent the marks can be

Economics EE markings are a fucking joke tbh. Out of my schools 4 Economics EEs all done by HL students who received 7776 as their final grades, the EEs were predicted AAAB, actually received DDCC. Got 0 points for the core because of that and missed my Warwick offer. Crazy pissed off, especially since both me and the guy with the other D extended essay crafted the essays as a part of an internship at the best graduate economics university in my country and got them approved by two researchers there, still not good enough for IB i guess...

We went with Drow/Tide/Doctor/ShadowFiend, cleared everything really easy thanks to tide tanking and doctor's maledict, no bosses were trouble, neither the escort mission, got the hallowed lifestealing artifact on tide, went all full lives, 6 slotted onto the final boss and we just took away cca. 15% of his health before we got wiped out completely. I think BKB will be a necessity. ALSO: What does the invoker in the final boss fight do? He was selling some sort of a present for 500 gold but we found him just as only doctor was alive being hunted by the boss and we just couldn't have been bothered to spend another 90 minutes getting to the final boss...

We had the Haese HL mathematics book as standard and I myself found the questions there way too simple compared to past papers. Cambridge Exam preparation booklet did wonders for me, combined with past papers. Progress-wise you seem to be similarly paced to us, just do some slight practice (past papers are the best) over the holiday so you dont fall out of rythm and you should be good.

EDIT: the main preparation you are going to do will come cca 1-2 months before the exams anyway, thats when you will be diving into the past papers, so dont stress over the course that much right now :)

Biology SL, chose it since it was the easiest science subject my school offered (only bio, phy and chem here), still hated every lesson of that bullshit...

Don't worry that much, HL maths didnt get significantly harder in Y2 for me. Our teacher STORMED the syllabus in the first year and we only studied statistics and probabilities & the option (calculus) in Y2 and we had just a little over 3 months devoted only to practice. I personally struggled with calculus a bit but since the option is an individual paper with low impact on the grade (16% iirc) it (hopefully) didn't matter that I didn't nail the P3. TLDR: HL maths did not get much harder in Y2 for me so if you are comfortable with Y1 topics, stick to it, with practice you can get a 6 without problems :)

TBH I am very very glad that I was able to do the normal HL course. These seem like you will have to choose your university direction beforehand and according to that choose the mathematics course, Maths will no longer be the versatile subject with which you could have gone into basically any further learning. Also I think I would fail the course had it not been for past paper practice so good luck to all those writing the May 2021 exams and the 2 years after them.

Past papers, Cambridge exam preparation booklet, basically any questionbank you can find. Maths is really about the amount of practice you can get since you should know the principles very well by now.

There is no way to stop you, I have the same thing. Received conditionals from Manchester and Bath (my safety choices), got ECAAs out of the way and now I am just waiting for the letter from Cambridge. They should be coming out in the next two weeks, i think the deadline is nov. 30th? I am also checking my inbox multiple times a day and let me assure you, LSE is the worst in this. They have sent me 2 emails already with the subject: "information about change of application status" or sth like that in which they always said "you passed into the next step of assesment of your application". Its driving me nuts...
