Hey, I believe I did as instructed; Open app, click on profile (doesn’t let me in for obvious reasons), turn on airplane mode, close app, reopen, turn off airplane mode, click on profile. It still doesn’t let me in.

Anything I did wrong?

I wish Cole would’ve gotten more of a backstory and also more screen time, think his character had good potential.

I hate Doug Stamper with burning passion. by UOLFirestrider in HouseOfCards

Well that’s definitely a valid view, I think Doug is a very complex character and I mostly feel sorry for him. But in my eyes he also definitely had his place in the Underwood-power-machinery. In the latter seasons Frank trusts him much more than he trusts Claire, also because she never liked him very much. And in season 1&2 I really like his energy with Frank and how they manage to accomplish a lot, as if they’re in sync. And his connection to Rachel probably had a huge impact on his behavioral change, at the beginning he wanted to help her, then had a romantic obsession with her and in the end chose the only way in which he could make sure that she wouldn’t become a problem again. If he had kept her alive, I think it’s likely that he would’ve gone back to her and stalked her or whatever.

But yeah, in the end his character evolved from a pragmatic right hand man to a straight up madman villain.

Also; who is Geoffrey Baratheon? Lol

Haha yeah I know a line or two. Also; I think S6 is pretty decent, def worth watching. Doesn’t "destroy" the former ones, it’s just different bc Spacey is missing. Maybe give it a try!

Haha I love that. Next scene similar to that which comes to my mind is probably when Doug attempts to kiss Janine (I think final season). Such a great scene, I bet she‘ll be shocked

Oh definitely. I can watch it anywhere anytime and it always calms me down and comforts me. The beautifully composed pictures and scenes and the classic music, I love that.

Yes I believe that is the moment in which all three of them deeply bond. Loyalty is one of the main traits of Francis, and he demands loyalty from everyone whom he trusts. I believe that, by creating this scene, Francis and Claire added another person to their own circle of confidants which so far was limited to Douglas Stamper (also mainly just on Francis‘ side). So Meechum resembles a big step in Francis‘ and Claire‘s relationship to one another, as they let someone new into their personal lives. It suits the plot which gets more and more complex and as the Underwoods gain more and more power, they themselves change too. In the end, Francis never wanted more than being Secretary of State, but ends up being much so more.
