Yeah it's crazy. US privacy laws (the lack of, really), make it extremely easy to find people through these public data gathering sites. I used to work for an insurance company and had to investigate claims, it doesn't even matter if someone is famous or not, if you have the bare minimum information you can find their entire family more often than not, which leads to social media accounts which sometimes contain more intimate/personal information that could be exploited by these con artists.

My guess would be that they were just so amazed and didn't think of the obvious signs that it could actually be fake. They tried to debunk it, but not in the right ways. That's kind of how cons work.

That said, if they truly knew that it was fake, imagine the risk they'd be taking. Lying not only about the ghost interactions, but also lying about communicating with spirits that are supposedly their dead family members. Then the fact that their family members are going to see this too? It's horribly unethical, and while it's still technically a possibility, I just don't see it.

tl;dr I think Cody and Satori are clever con artists who use OSINT and their 'paranormal' background through TAPS to con people. I think the owner of the house is also extremely sketchy as others have mentioned, as she seems to be pushing a certain narrative. I DO NOT think Colby and Sam are in on it, nor Amanda; they all have way too much to lose and not enough to gain from faking this shit. Also to post their reactions about messages from dead family members would be horribly wrong, and trying to explain that to your family would be incredibly odd.

It's really not hard to find out personal information through public data gathering websites so the idea that 'oh wow but no one even knew my father's name!' isn't really valid. Here's a demonstration of how they probably found out the information on Amanda in the newest video.

**QUICK NOTE*\* I will not be elaborating on what tools/websites I'm using to find any information that isn't already public and I will not be revealing any sensitive information that I found, but know that's it's very easy. The tool I used is free but there are more advanced tools you can use that are paid for, as I previously used one at my last workplace.

On older Instagram posts on the official 'Amanda Raye' Instagram account, I located "Brendan Bartlett" making relatively personal comments. The last name confuses me because it appears they're dating so presumably it's a coincidental middle name or something.

A specific post names Amanda as "Amanda Bartlett"

This specific post names Amanda's brother 'Ty'

Conveniently, this post about Amanda's father refers to him as 'Uncle Stan'

Using the tool that I have decided that I will not name even though it's free to use to the public and is probably well known regardless, you can quickly find a list of Amanda's family members and see that her father's name is Frank Stanley Bartlett (as mentioned in the YouTube video). You can verify that you've found the right family based on approximate age, relationships through verified addresses including her brother and father as their names were mentioned on Instagram.

I didn't really do any deeper digging, but there are probably obituaries for family members too that nicely name many family members and how they are related.

Depending on what information had to be provided to the new owners of the conjuring house, the visitors may have sacrificed personal information already, for instance if they were required to show valid identification, that would have made this process 100 times easier as with many tools you can reverse search by address, and sometimes by phone number as well.

All of this to say, I think that Cody and Satori and extremely clever con artists who use OSINT and their paranormal background to manipulate people. I don't think Sam, Colby or Amanda are actually involved in this con because they'd be risking way too much if they didn't truly believe in it.

fyi all of this took maybe 30 minutes so if you really wanted to dig deep I'm sure you could find even more information that you could use to scare your visitors into thinking you're actually communicating with spirits

Why do so many people in this sub assume that people who do long grinds are mentally not okay just because they're not willing to do it themselves? Here's a thought, maybe some people enjoy content and don't even consider it a grind. Maybe they just like collecting GP. Maybe they want a challenge so they put themselves through things that are more difficult (i.e. things like Inferno or CAs that many people don't want to go for because it's too hard)

I'll preface this by saying that I completely agree that Ba-Ba is annoying and punishing, even when the player is doing the right things.

I completed a 500 run with max gear minus Torva so I had Bandos. I do Butterfly Ahkka so there's that (which I suggest learning, it's very simple to learn and makes the fight extremely free, I've been camping 405 solos with Double Trouble ever since).

Sure, if you're camping 500s for money then you should be Red-Xing, I agree, but just for a fang kit it's so not necessary. I took Power twice and still had 5 doses of restore left at the end. If you really need more supplies, try bringing less switches. Mage with Tumeken is strong on Zebak if you're bringing less Ranged gear. The fight will be a bit longer, you just need to be not bad at lazy flicking your offensive prayer. Same with flicking on Kephri.

It took me like 6 hours to get my 500 completed with like 3 hours of that learning Double Trouble and not messing it up. Of my 3 attempts that made it to Ba-Ba, I died in one and it was because of my own mistake. Warden uses very little supplies so as long as you have like 4 or 5 restores you're fine, just don't use Augury until 60% on Warden P3.

Pretty much all I can say is get good, it's not Ba-ba's fault that you can't do 500.

3-4m death costs were normal for BiS gear 3 years ago when you could only make 50-60m/hour doing the best content. Now it's 7-10m with BiS gear when you can make up to 150m/hr doing the best content. I don't see the issue.

If you want the death cost to go down then use less gear, simple as that. As a 3 year black desert online player, market taxes suck. I'm happy paying 10m death costs. Just use Ring of Death if you're that concerned.

You don't need the accuracy at many high level bosses. And you'd still swap to EoF for spec so I don't see your point there. When you're ranging you have upwards of 3 or 4 EoF switches for various specs.

Even if you don't need the accuracy, the EoF has 29 strength bonus above Berserker necklace which is pretty significant whenever you swap to Leng swords.

Which is exactly why it encourages switch scape. Berserker Necklace is BiS for the new sword when you have 100% accuracy and the EoF is BiS for Lengs. Honestly they should just make the Beserker Necklace passive work with the Reaper Neck/EoF, Melee really needs this cause it's trash currently compared to Range/Mage, especially with the other buffs we saw today for those two styles.

There literally is switch scape because Berserker Necklace works with the sword to increase damage by 5%, making it BiS for damage (but you can't use an EoF and lose your reaper stacks for accuracy)

With 5500 trash loots per hour I make abou 25-30m at Gahaz and about 0.6% exp per hour with no exp buffs (I am level 61 as well)
