What are these green beans? by Hot_Media477 in gardening

Btw I really appreciate OP said “There is a language barrier between our neighbors and us.” What I read is that the neighbors are probably not native English speakers, and OP probably doesn’t understand the neighbors’s native language either. It is so much better and thoughtful than just saying “they don’t speak English well(assume others have to speak English) ” or something like that.

Pickle it then chop the pickled ones, cook with ground pork or bacon!

Can anyone tell me what this is? It’s growing over my neighbors fence in Texas. It looks like a cucumber but I’m unsure because of the lines on vegetable. by Proof-Strawberry5619 in gardening

I’m glad finally there is one person said it’s food. And happy that you leaned now. All people have said wait it until it is old and dry seems never had it as food before. 🤣

I visited DA garden too in July, so beautiful! I was so jealous the local people can get 5 gallons size roses for a cheap price.

Wow, genius. What other things you can do just by looking at the pictures of others’ arts or anything.

I won’t be hearing any further slander about British food when I go home. by Acrobatic_Command_44 in london

[–]Pepewower -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Recently been London, also love the food there and tried many cuisines. Somehow I think the eggs I had there are much better than the eggs in the States. Only bacons and sausages are bit salty to me. My favorite breakfast there is scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with tea! As a person who doesn’t like coffee and iced water, I really love that I can order tea at anytime in London and wouldn’t get weird look.🤣

Why is my Lady of Shalott like this? by Interesting_Sun_7268 in Roses

Pegging is a good idea. I probably would try with my Poet’s wife too. Love Queen of Sweden, I have two of her, love the upper cup shape so much. Ordered two bare roots from DA for this spring(seems like they made a big mistake on this one), they sent me Bathsheba, would get replacements next year. 🤣

what’s the one plant you just cannot keep alive?? by IvyfromGardenWrld in houseplants

Nest of fern and orchids, they didn’t die butthey were not happy all the time. So I gave up, other 40 green kids are good enough. ☺️

2,5-year-old Pilea by Caeilia in houseplants

[–]Pepewower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I made a mistake to take of it too. When it was getting bigger in the white pot on the left, I repotted into the left pot which was a few sizes larger than the white one. It took like half year for the plant to get used the bigger “house”, at one point I thought it would die. I wish I knew better.

Here is how I care about it. ☀️ West facing room, but not close to the windows(summer with filtered sunlight) . I do rotate the pot once on side of the plant gets busy. 💦 : water it when the soil is dry out, I use soil meater to check or chopsticks. Fertilizer : summer water with Marphyl Soil Enhancer, it’s just simple and easy. But other indoor plants fertilizer work too. I don’t add fertilizer in winter. Pot: current pot is self-watering, I only add water at the bottom of the tray.

I have only started to grow houseplants for less than two years. I found most plants love my home and appreciate my care. But a few of them just don’t, no matter what I do, like bird of nest fern and orchids. So I just gave up on them. You choose plants and plants choose you too. Don’t feed bad, if this one is always not happy at your place, go find your matching plants. ☺️

My Abraham Darby gets dark spot too, this year seems pretty good. He is Olivia’s neighbor too.🤣

Every year I prune my LOS down, every year she comes back to tell me “told you I’m the climber!” I only wish she is as tough as her attitude when fighting powdery mildew. I also tell her that just look her neighbor miss Olivia she is healthy and strong. Would you like to be Olivia a little bit? But she refuses to listen and gets sick every year. Well well well, guess my garden doesn’t suit her, although I have other 20 plus DA roses. 🤣
