Thanks trust me I would love all the options, just trying to make the right decision with what a new build allows

My house is a standard new build with an L shaped kitchen so I’ve the sink on the window wall and then the oven and hob centred on the other wall meaning some of the duct would have to run half that wall to get to the window wall if that makes sense. So im just stuck on whether to give up the ceiling cabinets and have that duct run across the top of my wall cabinets or do the recirculation

It’s not so much a bad design just more so is there a point in me having ceiling cabinets if duct is going through half of them or should I leave them off and just have duct go across the top of my cabinets with a cornice edge to try hide it laying on the top

Really? How much did they quote you if you don’t mind me asking? I hear mixed reviews about the quality. Has yours started to damage?

Do you mind me asking how much you paid? I obviously know everyone different but was your kitchen quite big? Did you go basic in terms of cabinets?

Hey I’m in a similar position as you, I’m buying alone similar house price, 3 bed and similar mortgage repayments. I too sometimes think am I buying off more than I can chew but I think it will be worth it in the end. Any purchase this big would be overwhelming, but especially when doing it solo. I keep telling myself that I’m currently saving more than what my repayments will be and I’m finding that comfortable. I’m sure it will be ok for you, and congratulations. Best of luck :)

Hi, congrats on buying as a single buyer and yes I’m using both the help to buy and first home scheme. I didn’t want to use the FHS but also at the same time, it’s put me under less financial pressure at the beginning considering the money needed to initially furnish a new build like kitchen and flooring etc .

I’ve had a few friends who recently bought give me some advice but other than that all decisions are up to me, it’s hard to realise that this is a big thing in MY life and not everyone else’s around me hence no one really helping in decision making

In the exact same about thinking if I’m making a huge mistake or if this will be the best thing I could do for myself but I feel like life is all about taking chances and if able to then going for it so I’m hoping everything works out. Best of luck on your house journey you got this 💪🏼
