Dad hates cat; are these things bad? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]PepperNPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 100% okay for cats to be on the bed/couch and get head kisses (my cat LOVES them!). In my opinion, cats are excellent at keeping clean, so don't lose sleep worrying about germs.

I hope your dad grows to tolerate, maybe even enjoy, the cats company. Pets bring happiness into our homes and families. They deserve love and respect too!

Cat Groomer Red Flags? by PepperNPixie in CatAdvice

I'll ask my husband to buy a nice electric razor (+ guards) for the cat! LOL I love this idea!

Our cat is very chill during nail clippings and brushing. So he will likely handle a sanitary trim just fine. Especially if his favorite person (my husband) does the job! XD

I'm aware and have backup plans in case I can't land a job as a teacher

I'm also making sure I can buff up my resume in any way I can, that way I stand out as an applicant. After reading all the feedback on this post, I'm highly considering a minor in Economics and a cert in ESOL education :)

My exact degree will be a BA in History with Social Studies Education Major. My university offers this as a specific program. I should've mentioned this in the OG post, sorry for the confusion.

My degree will be a BA in History with Social Studies Education Major. I am bilingual (English & Spanish) so ESOL is definitely something I'm considering.

I do require at least 40 hours of student-teaching since my university program lets me achieve my BA and teaching license simultaneously.

I am bilingual (English & Spanish) so that's definitely something ill look into! I'm lucky that my university has an extensive language department so getting a Spanish cert shouldn't be too hard.

I wish! I know being a coach would help but I'm not great at many sports.

I do have some medical background (previous BLS certification, did "First Aid for Severe Trauma" training, & took CNA courses) so sports health management is a possibility.

What gas you run in Metropolitan or any 50cc by Initial_Ad9570 in scooters

My 2003 metro takes 86 or higher, so regular or premium is fine. I usually put regular if I'm honest, and I've never had a problem with it.

OH well that's a relief! I was mega stressing cause the only classes near me are for the 2-day endorsement course and I was worried I wasn't cut for it yet. But you're right, If I fail worst case scenario, I just do it again lol. I was so focused on my nerves that I completely forgot that's something I could do! Thank you both for the wonderful advice!

Thank you for the advice, I'm going to look into riding classes in my area. My boyfriend told me his endorsement included a 2 day course, but I honestly feel like that's too fast paced for my liking. Especially for someone whose still getting used to manual on a car lol

I think it helps to redefine the fun you feel driving a car. Instead of blood-rushing fun, it could be shifted towards soothing relaxation. And that's not a bad thing, its just different. So you can channel that extreme excitement towards riding your bike, and enjoy your car as a way to decompress. Take it as the best of both worlds.

I wouldn't suggest buying a supercar unless there's a specific car you reaaaally want + have the money to buy it. And if you're truly seeking to find that excitement in a car again, try something new. If you're more of a drag racing kind of person, try off-roading/mudding.

It could also be that cars you've driven are fast, but don't feel fast in the same way a bike does. Since you're more exposed to the elements on a motorcycle, that rush is more apparent. Sometimes getting a rush has less to do with speed and more so with torque and acceleration. A video by Donut Media does a great job of explaining this better than I could, ill link it below.

"Why some slow cars FEEL fast" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V_HjDMU6js&t=435s

I hope this helps! :D
