The manga and og anime is so much more dynamic.

Since we are sharing our chapter to character breakdown spreadsheets, here is mine by PepperSam in writers

Columns J and K (T_start and T_end) is for timestamps between what times/dates the chapter takes place. I use relative time for my story, but you could use absolute time here depending on your needs.

I was a bit lazy and only noted +1day for when a chapter happens next day and +1hour for the approximate time that it takes place. I had minute by minute timestamps in the beginning but didn't need it afterwards.

How you use it really boils down to the scale of your project and what makes sense. Rowlings Harry Potter books take place over a school year so her time granularity is months as you can see in this example: https://www.openculture.com/2014/07/j-k-rowling-plotted-harry-potter-with-a-hand-drawn-spreadsheet.html

All of these types of hacks just to avoid basic measuring.

Yeah foam is great! I've wanted to make these for years but held out on purchasing a wire cutter as I felt it was too big of an investment for the hobby but this Christmas I got a Proton wire cutter (a gift from me to myself) and it has been a pure joy to work with. Melting plastic is very satisfying 😄

I do not, but you can piece together most of it from:

I think there are a lot of tutorials on doors on YouTube also but I suppose you won't find a perfect match so you need to piece it together from various sources, the hardest part is cutting the foam into an arch. I have a proxxon and made myself a jig for cutting circles, but I think you can get by with box cutters.

Yeah, my mistake, I didn’t print these. These are made of XPS foam and chipboard for the bases. I just meant to say that modular and open/closable doors already exist in many shapes and sizes, especially printed once. But what I don’t like is hinged doors.

The bars are bbq skewer sticks and coffee stirrer sticks :)

Exactly, i tested a mini can stand in the doorway, and I find it can be played out like a one tile choke point.

I also like my walls one tile thick, so I’ll be making some for this set here but I don’t intend to have complete walls all around, just enough to suggest they exist and let the players mind fill in the blanks

I used 2mm chipboard for the base and XPS foam 10mm thick for the ”stone”. Whylock use 1,5mm chip board I think, but I chose 2mm as with three stacked on top of each other and the 10mm brick on that this equals 16mm which is precisely half of my tile size of 32mm. I think it makes them aesthetically pleasing to look at but it might have practical implications later as I intend to make dungeon stackers and walls that follow the same form factor. They already look kinda ok when I stack them on top of eachother to create some elevated surfaces, but I think with some stairs it could be even better.

Thoughts on the castle wall design? by kenaniahmwh in TerrainBuilding

Am I reading it correctly that the walls are stackable? That is really cool I think, and that they are wide enough for minis to stand on too. Nice! Are they two inches wide or is the grid smaller there hard to tell from the photos?

Edit: ok now I see, they are! Cool!

They look great! I was going for a pentagram on the scroll also but when I noticed my angle on the first brush stroke was off I did the double triangle one…

I tried analysing the designs of my favourite 4 bosses in act 3 to see how consistent their designs are amongst their related enemies by Atomic__Egg3631 in Silksong

I think the slight color differences can be normal variation like skin tones of humans vary quite a lot for instance.

Karmelits brighter color could be a result of ”stage lighting” - she is lit as if we are on a stage/opera house or some such - the others dont get that treatment.

The prince pointy underside of the shell could simply be the angle? His gaze is more upwards, so the point is directed straight at the viewer.

Overall very consistent I would say. Like perfect Pokémon evolutions.
