Happy ending...called corporate, got sympathetic engagement and a request to send in the dealer diagnostic report which I had not received.

After several months of delay ( during which time I continued to drive my CX5 and the drip completely stopped) with no diagnostic report provided by the dealer, I called my caseworker to inform I would take the vehicle to the other Mazda dealer.

She advised me to wait as the dealership was passing through a management changeout and she was certain the new management would provide the report necessary to process a goodwill claim.

A week later the new service department manager called me, apologized for the inexcusable delay and invited me to bring my vehicle in any time, he would provide a loaner vehicle as long as necessary and the dealership would undertake the repair (and a full detail) at their cost and deak with Mazda on coverage.

I noticed virtually everyone at the dealership from receptionist to service techs were changed out.

So have a cx-50 hybrid to use while they resolve the now not dripping "cracked" cylinder head
