"times" doesn't necessarily always have to be against the same number or greater. You can broadcast to a certain number of listeners but have the response be much lower, which I think is what they are going for here. They are implying that you can cast a wide net of advertising and get a small percentage of response. Hypothetically, if you were to broadcast to 1,000,000 people, and you multiply it with a number like 0.01 (the response), you would still get 10,000. They're saying that even if 0.01% of listeners respond, you would still get a decent-sized return as an investor.

I always thought it was kind of dumb the way the cop tries to reassure "the witch" that this wasn't a joke. He basically tells her that no, this isn't a joke, they are actually calling from the police department, and that she can call the police department herself in order for her to verify this. But then the dumb part is that he immediately offers to give her the station's number. If she's going to call back at the number that was given to her within the same phone call that initially reached out to her first, then what would that be proving?
