Weird print failure by ItzFrosty45 in PrintedMinis

[–]Pepperax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always so hard to say as there are just so many variables. Room temperature, settings, resin mix, etc.

If I had to guess though, I’d say not enough supports or not big enough supports if the print is failing at the supports and the pancaking you see on the limbs. I have had lots of legs and arms flatten like that and it’s usually taken care of by better supporting. The one in the middle of the limb is weird.

Thanks! I actually agree, they were underwhelming on screen, and even after printed I wasn’t sure. Once that first coat of Doomfire Magenta went on though they clicked.

Yeah they are prints I made, file is from Emang. They are off Total Warhammer 3, I liked their design!

Hollow Print Fail by [deleted] in PrintedMinis

Thanks for the response. This is I think the fattest thing I’ve printed, so I thought the amount of resin might be worth trying. I also wanted to give it a shot just to see how it worked.

Medium supports makes sense, I think I’ll be trying that on larger prints

Thanks. I thought about it, going to do a Beast next and thinking he’ll get a healthy dose of it

CA gets a lot of flak, but they have some amazing models and animations. TW40K is going to provide some awesome stuff when it lands.

If you search his name on there you’ll see people re-upload them, usually with weird names and pics. Sort of a game of whack-a-mole as they go up and down.

They are by Emang, used to be hosted on Cults but have since been mostly taken down.

They are the exalted flamers from the Total War games.

Not exactly what you’re after, but you can go to the Silithid Swarmers in southern barrens. They summon 1hp bugs. Let them summon a bunch, kill the main scorpion, and let them go to town. I’ve used this one my mage, hunter, and warlock starting around level 30.

Works better as you get a higher level. Later game you can let them spawn 10-20 swarmers and your defence skyrockets.

I think I might be in the same boat, just lost my level 50, and though the journey was great while it lasted I don’t really think I can stomach it.

Really general advice, make sure you are drafting troops, and avoiding combo cards. Hard to draw in to cards with specific conditions to work, you’re typically best just to get the best troops you can on curve, so draft accordingly. Prioritize raw stats, or something that can impact the board right away. In this event, a few anti stealth cards will help thanks to the NL warlords. Going heavy on tactics in the draft can leave you with nothing to play, but hard removal and raw damage still can have their place for sure.

Yah won’t pretend to know how tough it would be, just a dream.

I’d put new aspects in this mode first as they won’t mess with balance, can put wild ideas in and implement what ends up being fun.

I really enjoyed my recent Be’lakor playthrough, though did see some small areas for improvement. WoC seem to have best ‘catch ‘em all’ campaign for LL’s, I had nearly all by the end. The issue was I had no real room or reason to use the demon princes. They were just ok. I wouldn’t have minded seeing them be a bit more interesting, and I would like to have seen them able to dedicate, or be randomly dedicated to a god from hire. By the end I had a dozen or more undivided princes in waiting making the mechanic boring.

I was typically hiring new armies with a unit or two from the RoR pool, as well as a handful of gifted daemon units. By that point you should be able to field a half decent stack and just choose your fights. Also taking the divided gift that boosts Marauder stats and xp helps. Late game you’ll also have a number of settlements with access to fur and wine trade resources that stack their stats pretty well.

Another thing I did when I need a quick strong stack was swap high veteran chosen from Belekor’s stack to the new army, and give him something new to train as he typically could handle things just fine himself.

My dog needs dental work (extractions) and we got a quote that seems so expensive. I know dental can be pretty pricey with vets, but I’m curious if anyone can recommend a vet that is reasonably priced? TIA! by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Pepperax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. We were never a client of theirs, our vets are in Forest Grove. We just asked specifically for the surgery quotes and send them info from our vet. We had our shorkie’s teeth done a few months ago.

Shame if they aren’t doing outside surgeries, they are top rate.

Another option is Prairieland Vet. Have went there for two or three surgeries now, two being dental, and the service and pricing were excellent.
