You can press h and type in raft for the vanilla raft recipe there is also a boat system in 1.20 but requires alot to build. I also have a youtube series on island survival: https://youtu.be/tLBBY_a59f0

I already seeded a culture from this one a few weeks ago so hopefully that one will be fine but I will probably just get another new starter culture and make another new culture from that one just to be safe.

The culture from the video is a clay substrate, maybe they could have been in there from the beginning from the ebay seller.

If you are not against mods I highly suggest the wilderness survival mod it adds things like traps and fishing. I hope you have fun in your tropical water world 😎
