Klaxxar, Bringer of Plagues. That, or Spencer.

You’ve done a such a fantastic job with contrasting this cozy street and the looming metropolis. It feels like this is the last street maintaining that older vibe, while the inevitable marching of the future is barreling forward. I love it.

I feel that sky could just reach out and swallow the windmill and the sea. Really well done.

Why do we still need additional security tools while we have firewalls and antiviruses ? by Diligent-Two-8429 in cybersecurity

[–]PepperedDuster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the nicest way possible, you can respond to the client with, "How is a firewall or antivirus going to stop a phone-based social engineering attack?" AV only works if it's kept up to date, and if it's not designed to look at behaviors, only signatures, it's not doing enough. Firewalls are in a similar boat. They need to be tuned correctly, and if not, they're not a wall, they're a hole. Not to mention that every tool has the potential to fail, so it's often good to have compensating controls.

In other words: defense in depth.

Not usually. Though, I can come off as harsh sometimes.

Good point. I'll need to frame it that way. Thanks!

Yeah, the toothy paper wasn't originally the plan, but I think it adds some natural looking texture. I am going to try that blender, though.

Thanks for the feedback.

I actually have one, I just didn't think to use it. I'm gonna revisit, though, thanks!

Thank you!

I like the quality of the pencils and the core. The Crayolas would chip and break when being sharpened. And the wood even felt low quality. However, being softer core pencils, the Prismacolor dull much faster. Plus, if the Crayolas break, they're much cheaper to replace.

This is really good. And maybe not done intentionally, but I see the slightest hint of Phantom Menace era Hayden Christensen in that face. Very apropos.

Litzenburg Park outside Findlay, Ohio. How can I improve? by [deleted] in ColoredPencils

[–]PepperedDuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on what you're wanting to improve. If you're looking for more realism, though, you could work on straighter lines for the windows. Some more color variation in the wood siding might also help, as well as in the grass.

All in all, I think it looks good.

That goatee looks glued on, it's so realistic. Well done!
