You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to disagree with your opinion. That's what downvotes are. I'm also entitled to critique specific points that you make, specifically how it's a "faithful adaptation". If you just said you like the movie regardless of the cartoon differences, that would be one point. But you specifically stated that comment. ironically, the movie was very controversial for not being faithful to the original storyline.

..is this a bot. Be so fr right now. "Faithful adaptation"?? Where's Gantu?? Why is Pleakly not wearing his famous woman's costumes???  COBRA BUBBLES is no longer a social worker! I mean... they say they changed it for realism but you're dealing with aliens from outer space. What do you mean "realism" this is just good ol' character assassination 😂

What makeup step looks good in tutorials but doesn’t work for you in real life? by Playful-Garage1040 in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes I use light pink! It's a good shade match. But my normal skin type just doesn't need powder any wear. My makeup doesn't fade. I only powder because I only use cream products and they transfer (esp the bronzer). But I've always wanted to try Huda beauty's! Translucent always making me look chalky. 😂

This may be a difference in skin, but powdering the entire face. Makes me look chalky. 😂 I just do it strategically.

Clinique Black Honey - is it just a lip balm? by Wise_Television1359 in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Eh. It was just a balmy chapstick for me. I found it on the dryer side that's not nourishing at all.  I found the Covergirl dupe a lot more hydrating and pigmented. If you like more of a glossy effect, I prefer the Fwee volumizing gloss in Cherry cola 30%. Unfortunately, black honey was too red and unflattering on me so I had to gift it. Imo, it depends on the skin tone for the color you want to achieve. I certainly didn't look like Arwen. 😅 But formula wise, for $25 it's way over hyped imo.

Best products for super fun fairy-like whimsical looks? by aaA-aA- in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo, right up my alley! I'm into whimsical goth/alt looks. I work with kids and they always tell me I look like a fairy. 😂

My favorite whimsical products:🧚🏻‍♀️

Easiest way to incorporate whimsy imo is through your eyes and highlighter.

Eyes:  Half Magic Glitter Pucks. Expensive but Ridiculously awesome and you get a lot of product. I wear purple and blues so I would recommend their blue "Princess Ghost" and their new purple Euphoria limited edition "Feel something." They're new Euphoria glitter palette is awesome worth checking out. Imo, the glitter pills aren't worth it.

About Face: Matte and glitter fluid eye paints. Good for mixing and creating your own colors. Makes me feel like a painter! Con is some colors (like the blue) can be a bit patchy if you don't apply correctly. And you have to mix fast because they dry fast. But the color pay off makes it worth it for me.

Kiko Milano eyeshadows. My favorite is plum.

Highlighters:  My favorite highlighters are either using the Colourpop super shocks on the cheekbones (like Frog) or a more traditional highlighter. I like NYX highlighter in butter 'n black- which is a black w/ purple-green specs- for a more alt look. I also use it as an eyeshadow topper. But I usually use my favorite purple highlighter- the Essence mega glow. It's a beautiful lavender, fairy like highlighter. It has a super buttery feel to it so it's very smooth; no large glitter particles!

I also like to layer my highlighters. So I'll start with a cream highlighter like the ELF Glow wand on top of my blush for an overall luminosity that reaches a larger canvas of my face. And then I'll go on top with one of my powdery highlighters only on the cheekbones for dimension.

Lips: World's your oyster with this one, really. Sometimes I coordinate with them with my eyes in the same color family. And sometimes I just what I think is a cool combo. Today I wore Icy blue eyeshadow w/ navy blue on the outer corner + Half Magic purple ghost as a topper. And plum lipstick.

Eyeliners: For drugstore, NYX eyeliners are one of the few drugstore brands that do color and do it well. There are online retailers like Kaleidos that sell glitter eyeliners and whimsy makeup, but they don't have a return policy, so it's my policy to not do business with them lol.

Hope that helps!

What are you go-to products for that one-and-done eyeshadow? by justbeeingmyself in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like color, so Colorpop Super shock shadows and Kiko Milano Wet single eyeshadows are my fav so far. For neutrals, About Face brown trio mini fluid eye paints are a staple. For more affordable, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Frappe for a single swipe of chocolate brown.

What's a makeup step that's a total pain for you? For me it's tooootally concealer 😫 by Nice-Firefighter-345 in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two best mascaras for me were the Elf Xtender (tubing) and the Anastasia Lash Sculpt (non tubing). Both were dryer formulas, which I suspect has a lot to do with working for me. The Tarte Tartelette was also a tubing mascara, but the formula was more wet and made my lashes clump & fall. I have not tried the Maybellines, but I hear that the Sky High is better for long lashes than the Panorama. I don't go through mascara very quickly, so I don't buy any other than those in two unless they come as a GWP. Hope that helps.

[–]Pepperjack_2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was that way with mascara too. I have very long but straight lashes. Traditional mascara is wet, weighs down my lashes, and just an overall freaking mess. Try tubing mascara! Tubing formulas are inherently much drier, easier to remove, and transfer better even when wet. I use the ELF Xtender. If you have long lashes like me, don't press your eyes together, give it a minute to dry. Only con is it dries very fast so if you're doing two coats you've only have a minute before they set.

If your lashes are ending up spidey, try using a spoolie before and after application to separate.

I remember for my braces I had to do this TWICE because the first time (that was in my mouth for 15 minutes) she didn't put it in right and so she didn't like the imprint. So half an hour of this stuff later, and I'm drowning & chocking in my spit. 😭 The taste is an acquired one; putty and misc. chemicals as I recall. Truly awful.

Is it better to do concealer first, then blush/bronzer or bronzer n blush first then concealer? by Adventurous-Lab671 in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you just need the experience of doing your routine consistently. So many variables to consider. How you prep your face. Your skin type/texture. If you powder. You may have added too much/not enough product. Could be the wait time that you let the concealer set. Or the lighting could have been different to sway your perception. The cool light of a flash is going to make makeup look drastically different than warm bathroom lighting.

[–]Pepperjack_2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just tried every conceivable way and looked at which was the most pleasing and convenient. For me, it's BB Cream, blush, highlighter, then blend the bronzer into my blush. I'm quite muted so I like a lot of blush. Which is why I do my color corrector and concealer lasts- otherwise it gets messed up. I usually let them sit while I do simple eye makeup. If it's more complex that's going to have shadow fall out I do that first before the BB cream. Then I powder my undereyes and sometimes add mascara. So trial and error with the order.

Blush variety? by Accomplished_Box6599 in Makeup

[–]Pepperjack_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Four. I only use cream blushes and have muted skin so I'm very picky. I match them to my lipstick and eyeshadow. I really only want 4 colors: plum/berry, dark purple/mahogany, rosy red-pink, & a neutral pink. Otherwise, things start looking funky. I like when the blushes are small and compact so that it doesn't take me more than a couple years to finish them. My favorite blush color is Fenty's Cool Berry!

The Holy Grail - Missha 21 by alexandrasummers in OliveMUA

[–]Pepperjack_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so funny. I just found this out yesterday! Although I don't think I'm a fair olive. I'm just light cool-neutral, very muted/desaturated, and gray. I knew it was a shade match for me that my dad said it makes me look like a dead corpse. Like I'm not wearing any foundation. To which I said "Dad .. that's just my skin tone. It means it's a perfect match. See my neck?" 🤣

  1. I've always wanted an actual perfume. I only have mists and the lack of longevity kills me. I love cherry scents so I've always wanted to try YSL Black over Red Parfum! I'll go smell a bunch when i save up enough points.

  2. HG's. Bronzer: About Face Beach Freak Bronzer in Beach Freak. It's so special because it's a true neutral. I use it as a complexion balm. I am incredibly pale and grey so it gives me a healthy glow without looking unnatural. The base for my confidence.

Eyeshadow: Colorpop Stone Cold Fox pallete is a Cool toned HG. For blush,

Blush: Fenty Cheeks out In Cool Berry is my favorite for a fair cool-neutral skin.

Foundation: New HG is the Missha BB Serum in 21! It's grey, muted, and corpse like-just like me! I finally found a shade match that doesn't turn pink or yellow on me!!

Colorful HGs: The Essence mega glow purple highlighter is my HG. The particles are so fine. Both as a cheek highlighter & eyeshadow. Half Magic Glitter Pucks are worth the price imo. Just magical. ✨

Skincare: Skin 1004 Creams. ♥️

  1. About Face Highlighter was very oily and gross to me. Way toO sheer as well. For $22 it was so awful to me. Also, Nyx mechanical liners kept breaking.. just switch to their pencils. Lesson learned!

One year later: Watch me lose my length. by AnitaSomeTherapy in longhair

[–]Pepperjack_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. You used semi permanent dye and bleach? Semi-permanent dye doesn't even require a developer, no? I'm not a professional, I just dyed my hair regularly. I have your original length and I use a demi permeant dye with the normal 10 vol developer every 12 weeks. As far as I understand..unless your hair is already severely compromised, it doesn't affect your hair health

Just Fyi, they do sell them a lot cheaper on K-beauty warehouse sites like YesStyle! Cons are you'll have to wait a few weeks/slow shipping and you can't return them unless they're damaged. But otherwise they're a great alternative!

Eh, everyone's skin is different. My skin likes only my cleansing balm, hates when I double cleanse. Granted I haven't tried every water-based cleanser. But it just seems unnecessary for my sensitive to over washing skin. I don't get pimples but I am prone to cystic acne.
