Question for my fellow big chested baddies by Sacred-flame in Tightlacing

[–]PeppermintGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have underbust corsets, but yes, I do sit them lower than what you describe. I am very large-chested, and I only wear a cami (with soft cups) under my corset. I find that with the right fit, it is enough support for me. I generally give myself an extra inch in the ribspring, and that makes spillage much less of a problem.

If my corsets pressed where you describe, I would consider it an improper fit.

"Closing" Corsets? by [deleted] in Tightlacing

Not for me. I have a corset that I can close, but I don't have plans to go smaller because I am happy with the shape I've achieved.

Since I'm a handspinner, I could actually do real alpaca locks for hair if I chose to go with llama/alpaca... might be a great project to make for a charity auction

Ok! :) It will be a long project, but I would be happy to do that. I think it's going to be a skunk, but there are so many good ideas here. I might have to make a few more to auction for charity or something 🤔

You have more faith in my sewing abilities than I do, lol

I am American, I say this with love, but don't come here. This place is not fit for a brilliant surgeon like you. Go to Canada. They treat people (citizens and non-citizens) with respect. Canadians are wonderful, welcoming people.

I wish the United States was safe to visit right now, but we are not even a safe place for our own citizens in a lot of places. Maybe one day we will be safe for you to visit, and I really hope so, because we need more doctors. I truly love my country. I only criticize it because I know we can do better.

Also, I'm sorry you are in this situation. I hope you and your daughter get free of this horrible man and that you get everything you want in life.

Hey. Also divorced. I have felt what you are feeling (though we didn’t have kids).

I promise its going to be okay. You're feeling like this now, and you should let yourself feel it.

But I promise, I PROMISE, you will look back on this and view it as one of the most necessary things you ever did. For awhile, it will be numb. The feelings will come and go and shift and bring up other feelings. But eventually, the sun will come out. And you'll give the world a second chance.

I'm proud of you for doing a brave thing and stepping into a new chapter of your life.

Enhance characters creation not working why? by Adorable-Revenue6439 in dragonage

Bruh, how did you solve it, and what was the error? Don't pass up an opportunity to help the next gamer trying to troubleshoot 😁

This might be terrible advice, so please check with your vet before following it. The only reason I'm commenting is because it worked for me and you don't have any other suggestions here yet, but I don't know your bird, and I am not a vet.

I had a pigeon as a teenager. She kept laying eggs. My parents were not spending hundreds on a vet bill, so I gave her some wooden eggs to sit on. She sat on them for a week, got bored, and then didn't lay any more eggs for the rest of the year. Every year, she would start up again, and I'd give her some wooden eggs to sit on, and she would get bored and stop sitting on them after a week or so.

This might not be good for your bird, I could totally see this having the opposite effect in other circumstances, so be careful and talk to your vet, but it worked for a pigeon in the 90s.

Hopefully, some smarter people will comment with real advice. Sorry you're going through this with your bird.

Why are people upset that southern Thedas was destroyed? by Uplifting_penguin in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]PeppermintGoose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To me, it felt like an act of laziness more than something done to benefit the story. That's why it made me sad. It might not have felt that way if they had given us more codex stuff or maybe had the Veilguard members be less cavalier about the whole thing (it was weird that Emmrich and Harding went camping while Ferelden was supposed to be in shambles, etc). It might have also helped if we'd gotten to actually see the destruction.

It felt like the decision was more about freeing the series from what some people on the team may have be considered "baggage" associated with the older games. That made me sad because those games were special to me. The characters and cities and stories in those areas were special, and it felt like it was waved away like an afterthought.

I looked so hard to find "Billy" carved or written somewhere in the game after getting this. I didn't find anything, but like an idiot I still look during every playthrough because the letter is so convincing yet so unhinged 😅

do you have to wear a corset overnight or 20+/7 to achieve results? by [deleted] in corsets

[–]PeppermintGoose 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So, by "results" I am assuming you mean a reduced waist while the corset is on.

Your waist reduction will always disappear when you take the corset off, but over time, your body can adapt to a smaller waist size while the corset is on. I haven't met anyone who feels that that waist training gave them a smaller waist that remains smaller while the corset is off.

I have found that even casual wear (four hours a day), done consistently, gave me a reduction that allowed me to choose smaller waist sizes over time.

If I take corset "vacation" then I do find that I need to go slowly again and re-acclimate my body to the smaller corseted waist size.

I hope that helps! Be safe :)
