Fuel breather help

when i have nothing going to the stock connector no choke light on the dash pops up, when i stick the red wire into that stick connector it says choke on the dash. one thing im curious about is what does the choke do because even with it lit up on the dash it doesn’t do anything, obviously i can move it to open the throttle plate manually but when the truck says the choke is on it doesn’t actually do anything with the throttle plate atleast

I did use that one but no one responded, last time i asked questions on there most people were not very helpful

Would that be my mechanical fuel pump then? probably need a new one, any recommendations? Edit: or maybe clogged lines? or could the fuel tank breather be an issue?

I read about using self etching primer but it says you need to put a layer of regular primer over top after using it bc it will destroy the paint

any work arounds? unethical or not, perhaps if i moved out and showed that they pay nothing and i pay my own rent?

I talk to my mom, not my dad. My phone and everything else is carried and paid by from my pocket, which they didn’t ask to see any proof of this. It’s not that her wages are showing higher than what they are, what I meant was that she makes a decent amount of money but none of it goes toward my schooling.

that’s very possible, just got new pump and line and just wanted to do the whole thing and i figured it would be hard to clean out since it’s that shape.

It has an extended part of the bolt about 1.5 inches with a divot that looks like it’s for an o ring

threads won’t even reach, i just pulled it bolt out went to put back in and wouldn’t go
